I was expecting a 6-bed room, and it had 7 beds, without warning. Also, the shared bathroom, which I thought would be for the 6 people in the room, was to be shared among all the rooms in the hostel. And of course, it is indecent to charge 30 euros per person, for a 6 bed mixed dorm... but I guess it was the season.

Very unique, far different from most hostel experiences I have had. My friend and I got into San Sebastian at 5 am, and the manager let us sleep there for a few hours before check in which was extremely generous. The rooms are set up a little odd, and have ash trays with cigarettes in them which I found odd as well. Web site says free wifi but the hostel does not have wifi at all. There is one computer in main room and that is it.

it was really strange booking a hostel and ending up at a private flat...

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Wonderful location close to the beach and the shops. Good value for money. Cosy and warm hostel. Nice breakfast with cooking facilities.

The hostel was in a great location and was a great price. the staff was nice and flexible. The bathrooms and the common areas were dirty though, and the building very old.

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night here and had an awesome experience. The atmosphere is nothing like any other hostel, its a great location and the rooms are large. Highly recommended.

This was a great hostel next to the parte vieja. The staff was friendly and welcoming and it was a great stay for the price. The beds and bathrooms were very clean, although the building is kind of falling apart. Despite that, the manager changes the beds for each customer and cleans daily. It was a great atmosphere for meeting fellow travelers and had a great location for exploring the city.

1 min to the old quarter, which is where you probably want to go, this hostel has a really good location. Since I was travelling alone I was glad it was easy to meet people there. On the other hand security didn`t seem to be very important, and the WiFi did not work when I was there.
