Was a lovely and clean hostel, although was not shown around on arrival so did not know where the kitchen was until one of the other people in my dorm showed me round the back, was a lovely garden and kitchen there. My main recommendation would be to put up a reception desk as I went upstairs to start with and was looking up there before I found someone.

This hostel was one of my favourite of the many I have stayed in all over the world in 6 months of travelling. It was a great set up with a restaurant and a bar, which helped people to socialise and meet other travellers. The room was clean and bright with good lockers and private bathroom. S I am an older ltraveller and found this hostel very welcoming and comfortable. The food at the restaurant had lots of healthy options and was sold, by the kilo.

Lovely hostel, owner Victor is really friendly and helpfull, infact all the staff were great. Good breakfast with strong coffee, eggs, fruit, bread, cereal. Good lockers in the rooms. The only problem was the noise - its above a bar so you get a bit of noise from here, but mainly it was other guests in communal areas that open onto rooms. There are no rules 'quiet after 11' so its up to you about the sort of place you want to stay in. Otherwise a pretty perfect hostel.

Fantastic ' it was the place where all of us met in the evenings from other hostels. Food was wonderful and the staff were very helpful. Clean, fresh room with white linen and a fluffy towel, it`s the little things!

Hostel is newish, clean and in a good location. Beds are a bit small in height so it's quite difficult to get into the bottom bunk if your tall. Breakfast was good, but the usual as I have had in brazil. A sandwich toaster, eggs and saugage is a nice touh that could be added to it. The island is a quiet place and more is more suited for coupled and people wanting to chill out. I would recommend.

The best thing about this place, is the court yard out door/indoor kitchen area. It was colourful and had a communal vibe, that you want when travelling solo. The bathrooms were a bit small, and busy at times. The wifi was a bit dodge and did not get it in rooms. Other than that, good breakfast, cool people, helpful and friendly staff and cute little kitty that made this place feel quite homely. Wish I had longer! Seriously needed about 3 more days here. Sad to leave.

It was the best hostel I stayed in during my 3 weeks of vacation. The owner is enthusiastic, still explaining every taveller all details of the island. This great place shows, it is not necessary to have something special like big parties, a pool or what ever. All in the hostel was just excellent how it was, nothing is missing! If I come back to Ilha Grande, this will be the first hostal to contact! Thank you for your hospitality.

This place has pretty good breakfast, and the staff are very helpful. There is a restaurant by weight right at the hostel, which make it a lot easier to decide except they close on Tuesday. Didn't stay in other hostels on the island, but they've got a balcony with hammocks & a TV w/ bar to kill time with. You definitely will feel there's enough space to do whatever you like.

I really liked to stay in the Biergarten Hostel. Just I disliked that I had to asked for toilet paper several times.
