Poor \"Security\", because staff is not paying attention much. Sometimes the roof top bar was not locked during the nights so somebody might break in through the roof (easy). Poor in \"Cleanliness\" because our room was not taken care of during our 1 week stay. Thats poor, even for a hostel. The room itself was ok, except the bed linens had some stains and were a little dusty. Overall, the Value for money was good, and thats what we were looking for.

Exelent value for money, clean and well located. The staff is very kend and helpfull.

Double room very clean and cosy. With a third simple bed. With TV and clean bathroom.

internet access, hot showers, clean rooms and great service. Just ask the guys up front, they will help you with anything! Breakfast on the rooftop is great way to start the day. Truly enjoyed my stay here. Definately recommend staying there and I will stay there again next time I go back.

Really good location- close to the blue mosque and aga sophia, and the roof top where you eat breakfast was incredible! In the middle of the historical center of Istanbul, nearby the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque lies the Big Apple Hostel in the absorbing district of Sultanahmed. The Mosque even can be seen from the glass-lined rooftop garden in a distance of approximately 300 meters. The hostel comes with double rooms (which we rented) and shared rooms as well. Loved this hostel! I stayed in a 6bed girls dorm on the second floor, it was clean and the locker under the bed was big enough for my bag. There is a rooftop bar and the breakfast was great, and free. There was a queue for the showers one morning I was there, but otherwise we managed. Hot water!! Oh so good, no where really to put your stuff though. Also free wifi And it worked in my room. Staff were friendly enough, they reccomended a Turkish Hammam too. I'd recommend for sure!

Friendly staff; clean hostel; unfortunately the hostel was noisy because of a teenagers group hosted in the big apple hostel, and the music sound late in the evening on the roof

Good clean place to stay in Istanbul. Excellent location, only a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Staffs are very helpful, hostel is clean, Roof top bar is amazing, but it would be better if they have verity of drinks. Having breakfast overlooking Bosphorus was beautiful way of starting a day!

Bıg Apple Hostel ıs ın a great locatıon rıght near many of the hıstorıcal areas. The staff ıs extremely frıendly and was very helpful ın gıvıng me good dırectıons and suggestıons for thıngs to do. They have a great terrace and good vıews of the sea so breakfast every mornıng ıs a pleasant and peaceful tıme before startıng off a hectıc day explorıng the cıty. Thank you Bıg Apple for makıng Istanbul so memorable for me! I wıll be back for more soon!

My friend and I could have not been more pleased with our stay here. We stayed at his hostel for five nights and they honestly played a big part of our pleasant stay in Istanbul. The receptionist at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful he was willing to help plan our days and made our airport shuttle reservations. The facilities as a whole are very clean and nice during our stay they were even making renovations. The location is great, walking distance to many restaurants, the tram system and more important

We had a lovely stay here - extremely helpful and friendly staff (thats you Ridvan!) who took us out at night and helped arrange everything we wanted to do (even bought us little cakes when we were getting the airport shuttle early in the morning before breakfast!). Rooms were nice and warm and had good hot showers. Very well located near sultanahmet area and easy to get around on the tram and by foot. The terrace upstairs had a nice view and the breakfast was really YUM!

We were in Istanbul for 4 nights and had the best time at the big apple hostel! From the moment we walked in the door the staff were super friendly, warming and so helpful - they made the Turkish experience much more memorable! The location was great, only minutes away from the major tourist attractions! The breakfast in the morning was great and filling. We made amazing friends there and hope to be back in the summer! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone! :)

Thanks for making my Istanbul trip so memorable! I saw so many sights and made such good friends that I already want to come back in the summer or spring. Your staff was super friendly especally redvan and receptionist polat , you're the best! Security was tight an the facilities were clean, beds were comfy and the common area was chill. Best hostel I've stayed in! keep up the good work guys. I'll be back ,,, Would absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Istanbul

I will return to Big Apple when I visit Istanbul again in May. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
