Disinterested staff and filthy bathrooms, damp stinking mouldy towels on the floors for the duration of our stay are not acceptable. In four months in South Africa this is the worst hostel we have stayed in. In fact it is the worst hostel we have stayed in for quite some time world wide. If everywhere else hadn't have been fully booked we wouldn't have stayed. Has all the look of a once decent hostel fallen foul of the African malaise, that is apathy and mismanagement.

Except from the receptionists and people cleaning the rooms, staff members were very unfriendly. The dog made a big mess in the kitchen, something must be done to avoid this. The dead cockroaches in the bathrooms do not really help the feeling of cleanliness...

Very nice staff, nice building, good security and quite good location (if you want more action: go to long street, but there you might have more security issues). Overall: Very recommended

A busy hostel in Cape Town. They arrange all kinds of tours etc. for you. Helped us sort our car rental and get a good price. The pool is a little on the cosey side. Short walk to town. Secure front gate with 24/7 security.
