Staff not English speaking, could not give any information about Qingdao & surroundings Rooms had no windows, this was not in the description Very noisy after 7:30 am (yelling of cleaning ladies / other staff / construction inside the building)

As we arrived the room wasn't clean at all, there were hairs spread all over the floor. In one corner was a small bin (we thought it was for the air condition). When we woke up in the morning the whole floor was covered with water, including the luggage and all the things in it. The staff/boss reacted very unfriendly (not able to speak english). Later we got to know that the water came from the floor above, so the staff knew the problem. WE had to come back a few times daily, to empty the bin.

It's not really a hostel, but more a small Chinese guesthouse also catering for foreigners. Had a double superior room, which was ok clean, not that big though. There are busses down front and it is close to the subway when it opens in 2014. He staff speaks little to know chinese, which is fine for me since I speak a little mandarin. On the downside... - the ensuite bathroom is very small - and the drain smelled very bad - room 203 is next to the reception and they speak loudly all night

map on website seemed to make it appear closer to tourist area. clean enough but don't ask the staff too many questions or else the average service/friendliness of the staff degenerates rather quickly, and definitely with chinese characteristics....and I can even speak Chinese well! 3 norwegian boys said they hiked the price up on them after day 3 for no apparent reason.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But the public Internet area wasn't big enough.

Nice location, friendly, and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, we felt very comfy staying here. The rooms on the side next to Jiangxi Lu are a bit noisy in the morning.
