The hostel is awesome, great staff and great location. The wifi works perfectly, everything is very clean and building is safely next to a theater. I would definetely stay there again!

Cute and homey hostel with 24 hour staffing. Staff live onsite and are very friendly. Clean, lots of bathrooms and very spacious dorms. Location is a bit farther from some of the main sites but close to a lot of bars and nightlife.

We loved our stay at Big Fish. Very cozy environment with friends staff and guests. The loft room added character that you don't find in a lot of cookie-cutter hostels. Budapest is spread out, so it's hard to be in the "heart" of it like many of other European cities. With a metro pass we found it easy to get anywhere from the hostel. We did struggle to find the hostel from the train station at first due to construction, so make sure you know where you're going before you arrive!!

Thank you for your kindness! ;) Thanks to all of you, I rested in Budapest well. :) And all of staffs were so kind and friendly. I'm complimenting you even in my hometown now. :] I'll never forget memory in the Big Fish and with you. That we enjoyed playing a game, and dancing in a club. I love the Big Fish so much!!! :D

I loved BIG FISH! It was the first hostel in a month long trip that i felt comfortable and homey. I loved the position for everyting, shopping, tourist attractions, transport out EVERYTHING is so close. My biggest thankyou goes to all the fantastic staff that make this place so homey. I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4 and would of stayed even longer if my flights permitted. As an aussie this was definatly a slice of home away from home.

One of the best hostels I've been to in years. It is the perfect size as it really allows you to get to know people, both other travellers and the staff. The staff also really seem to enjoy chatting with the guests and are always available to help plan your next adventures.. The hostel itself is just like home and I'm sure that's the reason that everyone stays so long. Thanks big fish!

In general, a very good hostel! Staff were helpful, especially a girl that stays during the day - forgot her name :( She's lovely and makes us feel very comfortable. Facilities were nice and clean, also very stylish! The only thing that would make me think twice about staying there again would be the location. The tube station is some blocks away and everything around the hostel is closed on Sundays. I struggled a lot to find a place to have lunch :P

The Big Fish hostel was an excellent choice. Price vs quality - almost ideal (not fully ideal because of the street noice). But the people, the atmosphere made my stay unexpectedly pleasant. I recommend Big Fish hostel to everybody!!!!!
