The hostel itself wasn't bad. It is cute and very clean. The location is okay, about 20 minutes from everything but the city is huge so it's really only close to the opera house. We were in the eight bed room and it was so loud. After a long day of seeing the sights we were woken several times by people coming home from partying and some pretty impressive snorers-not the hostel's fault but still unpleasant. The staff also was a bit strange. They were helpful but begrudingly so. Not my fav hostel

Very good location. Nice, clean, small and cozy hostel. The best staff ever!! All of them very polite and welcoming and they do everything they can to help you (I borrowed lockers, adaptor plugs, towel and even a short for free!) and got some documents printed 4 free and with a smile! One of the best places I've ever got!!!

Very helpful and friendly staff. It's a nice small hostel that's clean, centrally-located and secure. They also provide a good map of Budapest (and other cities), & numerous handouts on what to do are also available.

Hostel was very clean (you have to take your shoes off at the door) and the staff was extremely helpful. They gave us great food suggestions in the area for traditional food, told us where to find the Easter markets, etc. etc. Very secure (lockers are next to each bed) and great location. Supermarkets and restaurants all around with the main tram stopping right outside the front door.

Our booking for this hostel was really last minute but was the best we stayed in. Really homely with alot of character. Very clean and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were fantastic!! Lot's of really nice touches and silly things like bath mats that mean the barthroom floors don't get stupidly wet (which happens in alot of places), little shelves next to all the beds with a reading light and free tea and coffee. Thanks Big Fish!!

This hostel was amazing! The staff are all super helpful. The rooms are wonderful and the beds are really comfortable. They provide you with free locks and lockers, which is an extra bonus. Overall, one of the best stays I've had.

Overall a good hostel. Great location, the staff was really helpful and nice. Stayed in the 4 bedroom, which was huge. In most hostels they would have crammed like 8 people in there. Everything was really clean too. If I ever return to Budapest, I will definitely stay here again!

Great place, huge rooms and luxury bathroom! Great atmosphere with a feeling of being at home, staff also does everything to make your stay as nice as possible. Hostel is very easy to reach from train stations, tram stop only a few metres away. If I go to Budapest again I'll definitely stay at Big Fish!!

This is certainly one of the best places to stay when viewing Budapest. The location is a ten to fifteen minute walk from everything. The hostel itself is very friendly, warm, and a great place to make new friends. Worth the money, and a great key to the city.

The Big Fish hostel is really cute. there are only 4 rooms which makes it more than easy to get in touch with other travelers. also the kitchen and the common area are nice and a good place to meet people. the hostel is a 15-20 minutes walk to the river but on the other hand it´s close to a lot iof bars and clubs! the staff was really friendly. i would have liked it if there would have been more common activities like cooking dinner together though!
