This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in and would stay again and recommend for sure. The only problem I encountered was the shower behind the reception area wasn't great, kept going between hot and cold (although I remember after reading someone else mentioned this as well). Stick to the two at the other end as they were both warm all the time. A nice hostel with great staff, always up for a chat and a drink....if you want :-)

I had an excellent at this hostel, it is small and cozy, but the dormitory for 8 was very big, with indivual beds (each with a side table, lamp and small shelf) and a mezzanine. Only the street was abit loud at night, but this is what you get from being very centrall-located! The free wifi and free tea was also great, the common room was a very friendly and lively space, but where you can also do some quiet activites like reading. The staff was very friendly. I definitely will visit again!

I love this hostel. The staffs are kind of friendly, they will help me as well as they can. The location is good, we can easy go to another place for shopping. Because we dont need to visit the famous place in Budapest, so we dont know how convinience form hostel to there. next to hostel have the small supermarket, it opens from 8:00-22:00, you can buy anything there.

Big Fish would have to be one of my favourite hostels. It's a really chilled out place, and due to it being quite small, you get a very personal feel from it. I felt really comfortable hanging out in the common room, it's done up perfectly. The beds are comfy; the majority of them are singles too. The wifi works everywhere, and the place is super clean because everyone takes off their shoes before walking around (such a luxury to walk around without shoes!). A true home away from home.

I have to say it was a very pleasent experience staying at this hostel. Very nice staff that are always willing to help. The pub crawl was really fun (they supply some really nice palikna for your pre-drinks). This gives you a really nice chance to meet new people as well. Hostel is quite central. Very clean and tidy. All the guests were very cool as well. Budapest is a really amazing city and this hostel backs it up by being really awesome. Thanks big fish. See you again for sure. ;)

IT WAS GREAT to stay at big fish. I will definitely recommend that anyone travelling to Budapest should stay there, and when I go back you can count on me booking my accommodation there as well. The staff was friendly, and atmosphere was perfectly homey, the facilities were clean as clean can be. The only flaw that I could notice was that the rooms were very dry at night, and I found myself waking up, gasping for air :P
