Good points first WiFi was good, staff kindly printed out our boarding passes and the location beside the beach was ideal. Bad points I'm not really a fan of dorms with lots of glass they let in too much light and it's kind of like sleeping in a goldfish bowl but nothing we couldn't live with for one night. Noise levels weren't too bad considering the location, quietened down around about midnight. Overall wouldn't mind going back to this hostel but I'd probably try somewhere else first.

The hostel has a nice kitchen and roof terrace, so it's easy to get to know other people. The hostel also has personel walking around the whole day, who can give tips on what to see and do in the city or further away. Breakfast is not included, but tea and coffee are free. Especially the coffee is great! Beds are clean, however the floor could have been cleaner in our opinion. Supermarkets, ATMs and lots of restaurants are close by, just like the bus station at Parque Santa Catalina. Very nice!

Not a great hostel. There are much better hostels nearby (i.e. Azul is awesome) Why does it suck? -Volunteers are disinterested in helping - There's limited communal space - The terrace closes at 10pm - The WiFi on the terrace sucks - The Saturday night BBQ wasn't great.

Good hostel but no keys and it seems like everybody can enter the building after ringing the bell

Great location close to beach and town. Good for short-term stay. Just not enough restrooms though

I stayed in a very small private room on the top floor of the hostel which was really a terrace and laundry area. The room was about 4 sq m with a double bed filling the entire space. The main problem is that there are only two bathrooms for 20+ guests as far as I can tell and at busy times this means waiting in line, separate toilets would help relieve the situation. The staff were very helpful and friendly although some of the guests left a bit to be desired by talking about drugs

The Big Fish is a fantastic hostel with a friendly staff and lively energy. It is right next to the ocean and in walking distance of great restaurants, bars and night clubs. Would definitely reccomend
