Big fish is a good value for your money. The hostel is well maintained. Bathrooms are cleaned daily, and are numerous. The staff and volunteers were very kind and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. There was a theif while we were there, but that is just an occasional occurence in hostels. One of the volunteers even went to great lengths to try and track down the theif, but to no avail. There is no air conditioning, which was a bit difficult, but all rooms have a small fan. Over all, a nice hostel

Good hostel, perfect location, normal atmosphere.

The Location is perfect!! Really closed to the beach. The staff is really nice and helping. The equipment is quite old and the beds are not so comfortable.

A proper hostel! I have stayed there for a week with my friends, searching for a flat in Las Palmas. During these days we have been provided a good working (and relaxing) atmosphere with lots of help from the staff. During the weekend there wasn't going on much among flats, so we rented the car from the hostel and visited the inners of the Gran Canaria. Renting conditions were normal (which is often hard to find) and we really enjoyed our trip. I would definitly recommend Big Fish to anyone!

Read the very high reviews about the place but we didn't particularly enjoy our stay. Transfer from the airport was an hour late, hostel seemed to mostly have non English speaking people which made it for a very unsociable experience. Staff spoke limited English. Security was not good as there was no lock on your door and the lockers provided are small and not sturdy. Rooms were also very crammed with little room to put your bags. Overall experience at the hostel was a big let down
