nice clean hostel nothing to complain about

Its a nice place. It wasn't crazy, though crowded. I like that they had breakfast provided. Good facilities. Close to the train station and the grocery store. The staff is kind and helpful. Lots of rules posted all over, but I appreciated them and they made me laugh.

The window in the dorm room could not be opened and it stank when you came in. Facilities were okay, though not enough tables to sit down to eat or do your laptop stuff.

Unfortunately it seemed like there were quite some groups of friends that were staying longer than what should be accepted. Although this might have only been the case in my dorm, the atmosphere was not great and their intention of making the room into their home did not contribute to improve it. Nevertheless, clean and nicely located place.

Great hostel! staff can seem a little rude, but i think they are actually nice. they deliver what they say, so no need for more details.

We stayed at the Big Hostel for all three days in Sydney and enjoyed our experience there. The room was small but clean, and it was a great value for a private room with ensuite bathroom in the area. The location is excellent, it was two blocks walk to Central station, and two blocks to the free bus on George St. Breakfast was simple but good, and the staff was friendly and helpful with any questions about the area. Wifi was slow and only available in a small, often crowded area.

Easy to find, just a couple minutes walk from the train station. Lockers are very big. No major complaints. Do note the internet/wifi is only available in the common room, but that beats the heck out of paying for it like you would most places in Sydney. The rooms don't have a whole lot of outlets, but generally speaking, there's enough to do the trick.

Really good hostel, specially if you are looking for a long stay accomodation. The only thing is that the air conditioning was too high in the common area and I caught a cold

Great location, safe and clean. Easy to walk everywhere and easy to get to from airports/train stations. Felt very comfortable as a solo female traveler. Appreciated having a safe, reasonably priced hostel option that wasn't in the noisy Kings Cross area. Big kitchen & free breakfast a bonus. Only minor criticism: the free wi-fi advertised isn't very reliable. Maybe too many people on it at once, but it took me 30 mins of trying just to do a web check-in for a flight.

The first hostel made me feel like staying at home. I like that they have really good kitchen facilities : hot water, drinking water. The kitchen is very clean (for a hostel standard), the dishes and mugs are clean and easy accessible. The free breakfast is really good. I love whole wheat bread with vegemite, peanut butter and jam. I believe that the owner(s) want to make this place comfortable and clean. It's amazing. I will recommend the place to everyone. Thanks for the good hostel guys!

Location close to the Central Terminal, but very unconfortable beds, like hospital beds, with a plastic around it.

One of the best Hostels I've ever been too!!! :) It was clean, good atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.

This place was convenient for me as I was using Central station to get everywhere, other than that really nothing special. My dorm room door wouldn't latch so literally anybody in the hostel could wander in at any time. Also the shower was terrible, barely warm water trickled out. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Great communal area, huge lockers, friendly staff, excellent location - so close to the train station, Chinatown & Hyde Park.

Very friendly and experienced staff. Room is better than we expect. The best part is room door is sound proof (we believe so) because we can‘t really hear what‘s going on along the corridor (it wasn‘t really loud)

Really clean and safe hostel with a pretty good location, 5 minutes walk to central and george street is just a stone throw away. Good value for money since the hostel offer FREE wifi and breakfast!!! Thats pretty rare for a hostel in Sydney! Not the best atmosphere tho, kinda hard to meet new travellers , no common activities arranged by the hostel , so this hostel is probably better for people not travelling alone ;)

Large lockers in rooms which require your own lock. Location is very close to central station, which is a great spot to explore from, and it is on a main road and is therefore relatively safe. However the area overall isn't the safest in sydney. Staff were friendly and helpful. Generally great atmosphere - everyone hangs out in the lounge/kitchen area, and the hostel discourages long stay residents by having a 28 day limit. The bathrooms were shared amongst several dorms but I found them clean.

I enjoyed my stay! The staff was phenomenal, always willing to answer questions. There seemed to be a decent amount of long termers, so by the time I got there they had established a friend group that was hard to get into. The wifi was pretty bad, but free so it is what it is. It was nice to have free breakfast. Central location. All in all, pretty great
