The stuff was really friendly and the beds were clean just like the toilettes. The location is a little scary if you walk there alone by night.

A nice hostel with good atmosphere, excellent staff and comfortable bed. I was not traveling in the high season so the hostel was quite calm and relaxed. The location is not the best, but it´s not bad. I walked back from old town in just 30-40 minutes. And anyways, the hostel is just a 10 minute walk from the subway, nothing too complicated. I think it was definitely value for my money.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and were willing to answer any questions I had. The wifi is good and for those who don't have a laptop, there is a computer in the common area. The breakfast was basic continental, but it definitely served my purposes of having a full stomach. Also, there are lockers provided in the room and you can ask for a lock if needed. The only thing is that it's a little out of the way from the main stuff, but not by much. Loved it. =D

Their location links the two parts of Bilbao that most want to visit (the 'old city' and the area around the Guggenheim), as it's virtually equidistant between them (given the proximity to the train). A lovely stop with a terrific staff that helped me out a ton.

The akelarre is amazing because of the staff, they are so nice and they are always willing to help. The place is clean and they wont charge for extra blankets. The only thing is the location, if you are travelling with heavy backpack and want to go to the bus or train station well getting to the metro is a bit hard, but if you travel light is ok, the location aint the best but because everything is so close in bilbao you forget about it.

Very nice and pleasant place to stay. It is situated not far from the bus station (20 min on foot) and from Guggenheim museum. The hostel looks very new and calm. I enjoyed staying there. I would recommend it.

Cute little place-- perfect for someone who just needs a place to stay + wants to explore Bilbao! The location is a little random, but I found Bilbao to be a pretty walkable city and didn't mind too much. My only complaint would be that while my sheets were crisp and clean upon arrival, my red blanket looked a little dirty. Apart from that, the staff was extremely helpful and super nice.

This hostel was by far the best i have ever stayed in. Not only were the beds fairly comfortable the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. I especially liked the common room that was not only equipped with a fridge and place to make hot drinks but also came with a t.v, computer, wi-fi, games and books. The it quirky cartoons and red/black scheme bad the place feel more fresh and modern. It's friendly atmosphere and helpful service made my stay very pleasant.

This is one of the best hostels I´ve ever been to. The only problem is that is not so close to the old part of Bilbao where all the bars are. Is close to an important university, so a lot of the guests are students who are looking for a place to live. So not everyone will be up for a party. However, the staff is amazing and everything else is just perfect.
