Very rude and unfriendly staff, not a good hostel to meet other backpackers at, located with nothing in the area to do without having to walk pretty far or catch a bus. Would never stay here again and do not recommend it.

Nearly all the staff were rude and unhelpful. Arrived at night tired from flying and were spoken down to like school children. Given no info about hostel or local area, raised this the next day, still got no info. One receptionist was rude to us while standing reading information on the wall. The kitchen and eating area is constantly dirty even first thing in the morning. We like hostels for the friendly staff and info about the area. This is more like a prison.

Staff was extremely unfriendly. When we enquired for about anything, they would reply rudely and sarcastically. We stayed in a double room with ensuite and the toilet sink was constantly filled with crawling ants! Would never choose to stay here again.

I had a wonderful time at billabong the staff were very friendly and professional and there was a great and friendly atmosphere.i would defintely stay there again

When checking in I wasn't offered any information about the hostel, they just took the money and expected you to sort it out for yourself. No outside information given about events going on or anything that could be planned within the hostel. Whilst my room was relatively clean it would have been nice for them to clean the bathroom a little more often. The hostel lacked atmosphere and wasn't the most friendy, however that could be down to who was staying at the time. I wouldn't stay there again.

This hostel is nice for the summer time and for a group of people. You have a balcony in each room and the pool is kept really clean. You also get good breakfast (Toast, Jam, Coffee, Tea). It is just a little bit far away from the CBD. You walk about 20 min to the city centre.

One of the guys on reception very rude. Making accusations that my boyfriend was on the blacklist even though he had already checked in with no issues. Understand there are procedures, but said it in a very rude matter and should get their facts right before accusing. Obviously it wasn't him and when identified, we didn't get an apology. Found a South African lady rather rude too, but the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities very good and kitchen very clean, good overall

The place was clean enough, nothing amazing. The quiet time was well enforced by staff, which was good to see, but yet they still allowed you to have some fun and meet people before heading out. The free breakfast was a nice touch, but like most hostels in Perth, they are fairly expensive to stay at. The pool added scenery, but I didn't see too many people using it.
