The hostel itself was good enough, however I really disliked the location. Its an "alternative" area which is cool if you like that kind of thing; it just wasn't for me though. There's a good link to the city via train which only takes about 10 mins and it'll take you right into Sydney CBD! We had a lovely time, staff very friendly, hostel was clean and faciliteis were good. Internet is free and wifi too. Newtown is a fun area with lost of night life and close to the city. Just come back from a stay at the billabong gardens. Very basic accomodation. The pictures paint a better picture of the place then in reality. Our room was very disapointing, although we saw the room across the hall whilst it was being cleaned and it was far better furnished and decorated so its hit and miss im afraid. Our room had a weak doorlock and a shared balcony so that next door could, and did intrude at will.
