Awesome location!! The hostel itself gives a safe atmosphere because you only can get in if you have a key to enter. Majority of the people there have been there for long term so it does make someone uncomfortable if traveling alone because they've formed their own groups and give off a sense of claiming the place. The room was really messy because of the long term stayers which I thought was an inconvenience for someone staying the weekend. But I would def go back and stay again next time !

The location is awesome with respect to Newtown and I found the property to be quite charming but the longtimers living there had more or less trashed the rooms. I kept all my things in my bed since there was next to no floor space.

A very handy located hostel in Newtown. Rates are very reasonable, facilities are plentiful and well maintained. The private rooms are great, like a motel, and the dorms are good - long term stayers generate a lot of clutter, be warned - but the dorm bathrooms are cleaned frequently which is the main thing. No common areas open after 11pm is a blessing and a curse. Pool is nice for a dip though not many people seem to. Long-termers have different vibe for sure but still very friendly.

Good location and value for money. Nice tv area with free computers and big kitchen. Bathrooms cleaned twice daily. Had to pay for everything including wifi which was awful. Some staff were nice but others quite rude and dismissive. A lot of long term stayers which made the rooms messy and hard to but belongings anywhere and made for a weird atmosphere if you hadn't been there long term too.
