Loved staying at the place. I am sorry I had to leave in a hurry, and I didn\'t get to say goodbye properly. I hope to come back again.Loved staying at the place. I am sorry I had to leave in a hurry, and I didn\'t get to say goodbye properly. I hope to come back again....Close

Not a backpacker but a young prof who needed low cost housing while looking for a place to live after moving to Fairbanks. This place was awesome! Billie was very gracious & she is such a sweet person. Even her pugs were the sweetest babies! The bathrooms were VERY clean & the other occupants were all very nice. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly...even worked in the Glass House where I stayed. I have stayed at 3-5 star hotels all across the lower 48, but Billies has been one of my best experienceNot a backpacker but a young prof who needed low cost housing while looking for a place to live after moving to Fairbanks. I felt the facilities were too small for the number of people staying. It could be described as "like hoe", but I like more space.
It was located in a suburbane area with no resurants or grocery stores within walking distance (less than a mile).
I would not stay there agian.I felt the facilities were too small for the number of people staying. It could be described as "like hoe", but I like more space.

Overall a nice place but the showers leave a lot to be desired. There are no blinds on the windows which would be a simple comfort in 24 hour sunlight. I also didn't know you can't drink on premises so don't expect to have a beer after a busy day.Overall a nice place but the showers leave a lot to be desired. The Hostel Is just Ok.
Pricing changed upon arrival.
Spent $30 dollars a night per person first time. Three weeks later, (with on line deposit) the beds cost $42/night. The Hostel should be on the bottom of you list for accommadations, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Loaned us bikes, but they were in serious disrepair. Low tires, no gear shifting or brakes. They tried to be helpful. given what was offered. Should not be called a bed and breakfast, as you have to make your own. The Hostel Is just Ok.
