I.had a really nice time here. I partcularly liked rhe location: away from the busy centre, but still reachable with a short walk. The area has nice cafe', restaurants, and it is really pleasant. The family is welcoming and friendly. Coffee and tea is served all day. Yes, very good.
nice and friendly owner. The room has no air conditioner. No hot shower. Its a great value for the money. The location is situated at the very center of ubud, walking distance to the sites.
We couldn't sleep there because they haven't checked our reservation, so we had to go somewhere else.
We booked this Hostel two months before our stay. However, when we got there there was no room for us as the guesthouse had been, allegedly, overbooked. Without even asking, we got diverted to a very crappy nearby place called Nuriani Guesthouse, which, in the hard to understand English of the lady who welcomed us belonged to her brother. No excuses, no discounts, just an awful stay. I read some more comments on this place afterwards and they don't seem to be new to this kind of scam. AVOID!
Friendly owners, nice clean rooms, great breakfast. Weird chicken-like noises throughout the night though. Overall tight like a tiger

If you need a cheap place to stay that's also secure and clean and in a great location, this is your place. No wifi, and there is no aircon either. But I was there in July and you definitely didn't need aircon. The evenings were quite cool. There IS hot water. There's fresh fruit, homemade banana pancakes, and coffee or tea for breakfast. And the owners are very sweet and flexible: looked like my flight would be canceled, so I wasn't sure what I was doing, but they were very flexible.
Very cute little hostel tucked away in Ubud. Lovely setting, great comfy rooms with private terraces. Staff are helpful and friendly and the included breakfast was a hit for us. Definitely recommended.
I arrived late into Ubud and contacted the guest house beforehand to let them know. So thankfully there was someone to greet me when I made it up there. However we were led to another place several blocks away (Bening Bungalow - owned by the same family) because Bima Muka was being used for a celebration the next day. Bening Bungalow was pleasant enough: simple, low key, in walking distance to the market & monkey forest and with nice staff. Just be aware that you may not stay where you expected.
We didn't get a chance to stay at bima muka we actually got moved to their sons place call Bening Bungalows. The family was all so accommodating & super friendly! They drove us to their sons place & helped us get sorted out, and the place was just beautiful set over their rice terraces! Facilities were clean & off the main road so it was peaceful at night. Would highly recommend either place to everyone & will definitely be back! Also they had the cutest puppies :D
The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable which is fine for the price. The family who own the house are very friendly and helpful. They sorted tickets out for the kecak dance performance, a tour of the temples, volcano and rice fields as well as our transfer to the Gili Islands. They made breakfast early for us on the day we left. The location is good as shops, restaurants and atms are within walking distance as is the monkey forest. A nice place to stay on a budget.
