Happy, relaxed, friendly hostel. I didnt think much of birmingham first and planned on staying one night, i end up staying 4 nights. The staff are very helpful and hilarious, free breakfast (toast and spreads and fruit) and soup in the evening. Heaps of comfort, clean, central, everyone makes friends with each other. Security is high, big lockers. Cctv is on. Great place, id come back to birmingham just for this place!

We were in a trip visiting 6 cities across Uk. This was the best hostel. Everything was really clean. The staff was cool, polite and charming. Specially Alvaro, who helped us a lot with a couple of problems we had. I recomend it for everyone.

I thought it was great! I felt safe and comfortable. However, I would have preferred to get into the lounge for a morning coffee earlier. I think 8am start is far too late!

The Hostel Staff was great at all times, very nice and attentive. However one would expect a little more for the money, granted UK accomodation prices are up to the clouds, one expects no suite but maybe a bit better detailed finishes.

The hostel is a bit of a walk from the city centre. The 8 bed dorm really should have only been a six...they put in an extra bunk randomly in the middle of the room. And it is kind of odd to have a shower in the room...not a bathroom but just a shower. Breakfast was just toast and fruit, better than nothing but some cereal would be nice. The communal kitchen is very small.

Only stayed for a night but really enjoyed it. It's located in a slightly dodgy side street, but it's really central. The rooms are nice and the free breakfast is a plus of course (it's toast with jam and some bananas and apples). Bathroom facilities were nice and clean. The Bar/Reception area was rather empty when I was there, but I guess you can't expect too many travellers in early April.

We stayed there for a for night while we were in Birmingham for a concert. The rooms are pretty average but what you would expect for a hostel. The common room is pretty cool. They've got a big screen tv and a ton of movies that you can just check out for free. The staff are all super friendly and super easy to approach about anything or just talk to. It's really close to city centre so that was really nice. Also, like two blocks from the Institute if anyone is going to a show there!

My second time staying here and it's still one of my favourite hostels, definitely my favourite in the UK. Owner is a great guy and the place has an amazing vibe. The only critique I have is that the beds don't have individual reading lights .If you come in late or read late or get up early, you have to put the main light on and disturb the other guests. Otherwise, this hostel is great, highly recommended! also close to the train stations and REALLY close to the coach station.

No complaints really, just nothing to really praise. The atmosphere was very strange. Lots of people who seemed to be in their 30s, and lots of boys unsociably watching American action movies. Didn't really know what to make of it. The location is conveniently close to the coach and rail stations, but difficult to find at first and on a desolate looking street.

I stayed in the building next door to the main building. The bedroom was ok, but the kitchen, toilette and showerroom were very cold and no hot water in the tap. There is only microwave in the kitchen so you need to go to the other building if you need to cook. location is good, close to city centre.

The hostel was pretty colorful, so it depends on your taste whether you like it or not. The location seemed rather unsafe, especially at night, but on the proside the National Express station is just a couple of minutes away. The staff is a bit slow, but friendly. The breakfast was good though.

I would probably look for somewhere else to stay on my next trip to Birmingham. I think it lacks atmosphere.
