The staff didn't serve well. When we and other guest want to check-in, they were still talking to each other, and we were asked to wait for 15 minutes, we waited, and then it seemed that it could be longer than 15 minutes while I also need to go somewhere, so we decided to go first and check-in when we're back. Also, when we asked something, they didn't answer nicely and clearly. I booked a twin-room, the room is pretty okay. Oh, good location.

Stayed 3 nights in mix 12 room - no lockers in room - lockers available next to reception situated in a separate building. Room not suitable for 12 beds - too squashed. Showers difficult to figure out how to operate - manage to only get warm water out 1 of 3. Hand basins only have cold water tap. Common room is cosy & nice.

Good price, good value, quite central location (3 minutes walk from National Express coach station and 10-15 minutes walk from New Street national rail station), it did its job. In my floor there was a kitchen and toilet attached, so when I was in the kitchen I could feel the not so inviting smells coming from the toilet, but other than this, I would say it was ok service. If they don't rise their prices I will go back there again.

they have free simple all you can eat Breakfast and Supper included which is nice, though the location from main "New street station" is kinda far, at least 6/7 minutes by walk, anyway the staff are really nice and atmosphere is excellent.

Good location of hostel, not far from Birmingham Coach Station, very comfortable reception/lounge area with a real flame effect gas fire, big screen TV and also seating area for using laptops, etc. Also very good value that an evening bowl of soup and morning breakfast of fruit and toast is included in the price. It sometimes gets a bit crowded in the reception/lounge and in the hostel rooms as well, but overall, this hostel represents very good value for money.

Visited BCB for a concert. Loved the proximity to the concert venue (HMV Institute). More importantly, the staff (Sam) was awesome and made for a very pleasant stay. Clean, good value, great experience.

Great staff, a good free breakfest, the location feels a little unsafe at night though.

Great location for city centre and Digbeth nightclubs. Good breakfast and very comfortable lounge area. Had a huge big screen projector TV which I'm sure lots of people like but stops people from talking to each other as much!

The electricity had gone down that Sunday. We had to change rooms to the next building. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay there! Near to City Centre, walking distance and good security. Definitely will recommend it to other travellers, has a feel good factor in it!

Lovely colourful hostel, very close to the coach and train stations with very friendly staff, as well. We booked the triple room, which had recently been refurbished and we even had an electric heater, kettle and TV with DVD - they've got lots of DVD movies to borrow, too! If we ever have to go back to Birmingham, we'll definitely stay here again.

Free wi-fi is very good. But sometimes, the connection is poor. The room is small but it can be acceptable because is so cheap and good location.
