Rooms cannot be locked, in fact you don't even get a key (only for the main door which you can easily bypass through an open back door). The owner was a little stressed but nice. The hostel is located at the end of a valley near the sea. You get to the hostel after an hour or so from Puerto Mogan (best have a car). The beach at Tasarte is stone only and not really worth it. We stayed at the hostel as the hostel was the best spot to start hikes from. Despite that it was very calm and cozy place.
A super nice place (if you have a car)! friendly and helpfull hosts. We have recommended this place to others and think this was one of the nicest places on the island.
Great hostel. Not too far from an unspoiled beach, far away from the tourist hotspots. The evening BBQ was great and the breakfast couldn't be nicer. Sadly I could only stay one night because I had to return the car the day after but I certainly like to recommend this place! Very, very, very friendly owners!
