Stayed here 5 nights. Good location, liked the tv room with heaps of dvds to choose from. Gets very hot in the hostel common rooms. Kitchen was very small with only one hot plate. Staff are great really friendly and helpful. Individual lockers keep own stuff safe. Pool could have been cleaner. When it rains water leaks through some parts of the roof but not places that matter really.

Great hostel with great atmosphere, felt like everyone there was york friend. The roof terrace is an amazing place for watching the sunset. I love Asuncion because of this hostel. The breakfast wasn't too good though, weak coffee and white bread.

Lilia, Olivia and the staff members are very friendly and helpful. The Hostel is a very beautiful building well located close to nice bars and restaurants. It is really clean and we would for sure stay in Black Cat if we return to Asunción.

On the plus side, this hostel is well located, good value, and the staff are exceptionally sweet and friendly. Downsides: walls are paper thin (it's loud), wi-fi does not work in many rooms, and smoking is common on the premises.

They do not have computer free, only a laptop infected of virus. The Wifi signal goes only to the common area. The place smells cigarrets and they have cats and I do not like cats. I recommend for only a shor stay. Não recomendo para longas estadias.

Close to the main square (walkable), helpful, friendly staff. The only thing 'wrong' with this hostel, is that the resident cat isn't black...it's white with patches ;-)

The hostel was undergoing a major renovations. Very cool new balconies, the pool could be colder, but it was to have it there. Aaaaan the house cat isn't black! paint him or something. No just kidding, but the hostel is cool and the staff is always ready to help you

Hot showers. Wi-Fi on first floor (common areas), good connection (signal didn't reach to our room on the second floor).AC unit in room. Good location. Fairly comfortable common areas (lots of seating). Meager breakfast (bread, butter and coffee only).

A nice place to stay in Asunción. You don't have to share the bathrooms with a lot of people and the bathrooms are very clean. Location is great, right in the center of Asunción. Breakfast is simple but nice.

When I first arrived at Black Cat I liked it instantly. The owner is so friendly and helpful. One of the nicest welcomes I have ever received. The hostel is lovely and well maintained. However, I have to say that the walls are paper thin and the noise insulation is really bad. I had booked a single room which was lovely but I didn't get any sleep and could hear every noise and the guy next door snoring loudly all night. Apart from that .. it's lovely.

Excellent location, about 150 meters from the mainsquare in Asunción.Everything was clean and the rooms are quite big. Asunción is a nice city to visit a couple of nights. You can split your trip if you want to go from Iguazu to Salta for example.

We chose a private room which was only seperated from the main dorm and the room next door by a very thin sheet of ply wood with it not even extending to the ceiling. There were just blinds. So absolutly no soundproofing! The beds had very thin matresses and thin lumpy pillows and the top duvet cover looked like it had never been washed. Floors and furniture in room dusty and unclean. One drawer had been used as an ashtray with lots of ash in it. Yuk!!! breakast was just dry bread.

Excellent location, walking distance from Asuncion main atractions. Thanks Lilia and Olivia for being such good hosts. I and they have a lovely cocker spaniel called "Sacha". I recommend Asuncion, crazy and cheap nightlife, warm people, and lot of historic buildings in good shape. Nacho
