The guy who let us in at 1am in the morning was super rude BUT our rest out our stay was fantastic. Dorms are big and the bathrooms super clean. Great atmosphere and surprisingly big hostel. Big thanks to Andres for being a cool staff member! Will be back soon!

Loved our stay here, stayed in a private room which boasted a 50 odd inch flat screen, couch and ensuit was like a good hotel. The owner and staff were the most helpful travel info wise w have cone across in 6 months thru south America, on that note defiantly check their website as its stacked with info. Great atmosphere of all ages good party vibes but enough of a variety of people that you can chose to chill if you wish, no issue with noise either. Loved our stay thanks black sheep community.

Good place to stay, good location, friendly staff. It's not really in the zona rosa, but it's closeby! Will stay here again!

Great hostel with very nice staff and all the facilities you will ever need! The only downside is that some of the rooms are very close to the common area which can make sleeping difficult if there's a party going on

Great place. All the facilities were great, the beds were comfy and the rooms spacious. The kitchen was awesome and always clean. Great atmosphere and super helpful staff. Stay there and party at casa kiwi up the road. Too easy!

Had a great time at the Black Sheep - great chilled environment but easy to meet people to party with as well. Kelvin was incredibly helpful with travel tips. Just be prepared to practice your Spanish if you check in in the evening.

The Black Sheep Hostel was a great experience. It definitely made the Medellin experience memorable. The staff were of the friendliest I met on my Colombia trip!

Really lovely hostel; staff go out of their way to help and the atmosphere is really sociable and nice. Close to metro, massive supermarket and bars and stuff, but not TOO close.

The rooms have no atmosphere at all. Hang some deco. When you enter the hallway you can see into the bathrooms, and they are really nasty and dirty (though the hostel wasn´t even full). There is one small toilet you have to share with man (writing as a female) and only two showers. When toiletpaper was out I had to ask 3! times for refill in one day, they didn´t really clean it up. same for the kitchen. The common table is just at the base of the stairway (wooden chairs). so you hear every word

Black Sheep Hostel was amazing so amazing we extended our trip by 5 nights! Kelvin the owner helped us with any queries we had and it was only a short walk to Zona Rosa at night time. Medellin stole our heart with its beauty and our soul with its night life!

This is a nice hostel in a great area. The hostel offers tours, the city tour with Pedro is excellent. We had a private room which wasn't cleaned once the 4 nights we were there. We appreciate its not a hotel but cleaning the paper bin in the bathroom once in a while would be nice. Is a party hostel with people sitting around talking about taking cocaine. There were also several weird older men (50 ) staying forever when we were there. Great BBQ. Cash only should be advised. No breakfast.

Loved my stay here. Booked for two but stayed for five. Social and laid back... close enough to all the bars but far enough away to have a night in. Bathrooms were clean. Nice tv room and a couple patios. Staff were great and always willing to help. Only downfall was that the WiFi wasn't always reliable.

Black Sheep ended up being a bit more of a party scene than we were hoping for, but we had a good time nonetheless. The staff was fantastic and accommodating.

That was my first time ever staying in a Hostel and it was one of the best travel experience I've ever had. I met a lot of great people from all over the world and the staff made me feel right at home. I will be going back to the hostel in a couple of months. Thanks Black sheep.

Internet was down, electrical plugs didnt work and most important, not a 420 friendly hostel, go for the pit stop, great wifi, swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, pool table, bar and a bit cheaper

No we are not a 420 friendly hostel. Drugs are illegal. Smoke your drugs somewhere else. Also you were smoking in your room. The other problems have been fixed.

Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on in my life. It was like sleeping on a wooden plank. Other than that, really nice hostel.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, but he only worked during the day. The staff that worked during the evening could sometimes be less helpful. We originally stayed in an 8 bed dorm but we were the last to check in and so there was nowhere to put our bags because the room was quite small. We then moved to a private room which was lovely. The hostel was cleaned constantly. The kitchen was big and had a huge fridge and loads of utensils as well as an oven.

We really enjoyed our time at Black Sheep Hostel. The room we were in was one of the best during our trip away. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Good location, close to zona rosa and the metro. If you get a chance I would highly recommend going to a football match, we saw the two local teams and the atmosphere was great. We also thought that the real city walking tour was a must as gave a good insight into Colombia and Medellin.
