The Black Sheep Hostel is clean and with a nice atmosphere. They had mixed up my booking, so I had the first of my three days in a dorm. Which is okay, but not what I had booked. I would still have lived there again if I go to Medellin.
Front desk staff is incredibly helpful. Also go to a soccer game if you have the chance while there.
truely satisfied. Staff was amazing, location is good I experienced it as a very social hostel where it was easy to meet other travelers. highly recommend this place when spending time in Medellin. thanks

This is a larger hostel with lots of activities going on. It is in a good location, although, you need a taxi at night. But there is no hot water in the showers, so only stay here if you like cold showers.
This was the second time we stayed at this hostel. Would stay here again. Really good bunks, well equipped kitchen and good showers. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Super friendly helpful staff Very nice day trip to Guatape with Diago! Loved the barbeque!
Staff were helpful and the atmosphere was great.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen is very well equipped. Good pressure hot showers. Close to the metro stop and supermarket. Would recommend if you ars staying in Medellin.
This was a decent hostel, with a kitchen and facilities to get by as a traveller The atmosphere was a bit lacking though. However, it did have a nice chilled vibe. The lack of a social platform e.g. a bar, makes it much more chilled.
Really nice hostel with amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The 8 bed dorm was very spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for a hostel. I really loved that it was so easy to meet people there. The outdoor area is shut down at 11pm which is really nice for the people who want to sleep early and no problem for those who want to go on as the hostel is directly next to the party area of Medellin. Do the offered Guatapé Tour, the guide is really cool and you get to see a lot.
Severe lack of bathrooms leaves lineups with long wait times. Location is good of you like it quiet at night since it is located in a residential neighborhood. The walk to Park Lleras is maybe 12-15 minutes. Nothing standout about this hostel very average. Sunday BBQ did not have enough food was left still hungry and had to make dinner anyways, wasted 15000 cop. Very full hostel and much more expensive than other hostels you can get privates on calle 10 for the same price as their 4 bed dorm.

Traveling for 2 years. And really one of the best hostels in my trip.
Black Sheep hostel was nice and in a nice location (although our taxi had trouble finding it!). Our room (private) was very nice - almost like a hotel room! The hostel had lots of communal areas which was great, although there wasn't much atmosphere while we were there, maybe cos it was a Tuesday! The staff were helpful in giving us some tips about the city and you can book tours and things through them. Overall would definitely recommend.
Good hostel. Lots of English speakers in the crowd here. Nice Kitchen facillities, and good location to the metro and bus station. Staff were very helpful and gave good instructions on public transit to get to the paragliding locations for a couple of non spanish speaking travelers.
Lovely and very helpful staff. The Room was cleaned regularly. Had a great time in the black sleep. I will definitely recommend to others
I had a great time here, wasn't cramped at all and well set up and run
Good hostel in a great house. Really friendly and professional staff. Location is good - being in Poblado and close to metro, but is a good 10-15 minute walk uphill to Poblado's nightlife. Bathrooms were sometimes dirty but with one shower/toilet shared between a dorm of 8-10, they would inevitably get that way on account of the considerable traffic they receive!
I enjoyed the atmosphere and staff at this hostel. The location was a little strange and even cab drivers got lost..more than one. It was pretty clean. Great tour to Guatape with Raf! A big highlight of the time there. Too much door slaming though at night, they need to be fixed, esp if your room is next to the bathroom. Overall good hostel in a more quiet part of the city.
Pros: communal rooms & location Cons: not the most nicest staff or the most clean bathrooms
