This is one of the best run hostels that I've stayed in. Everything is managed well and the place is in an amazing location close to the metro and huge supermarket. Juliana at reception is always helpful and welcoming you with a smile. The BBQ night was great and their Guatepe day trip was loads of fun. As it is a large hostel, I found it can sometimes lack that easy to meet people vibe that smaller places have but saying that, I can't fault it in any other way!

Room was very hot compared to rest of hostel. Beds were a bit shaky for the person on the top bunk. Toilets were a bit dirty in the evenings. But, very good location, price was reasonable, friendly staff, good atmosphere.

Great hostel. Good atmosphere and would be good for meeting new friends. Staff are excellent. Would be good to have a few more toilets though. One per floor isn't many and pretty difficult to keep clean and smelling fresh all day! Location is good. It's a walk away from the nightlife though.

Loved this hostel, the staff were really friendly and helpful, had two nice terraces and a courtyard, dorm was clean and comfortable. Good location in Poblado, very safe and walkable distance to all the bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

I loved the Black Sheep, it's atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and it's a very social hostel so is great for meeting fellow travelers. The staff are incredibly helpful and nice (except one surly guy who works sometimes at night!), and their catalogue of day trips is absolutely fantastic.

Social hostel! Great for meeting others. Great location next to the metro and exito

Fantastic stay, very clean hostel with excellent kitchen and tea/coffee all day. Staff were very helpful and loads of tours can be organized through the hostel. Nice quiet street close to the metro. Great stay and good value

Black Sheep was awesome! Staff was very nice and super helpful! Take the tour! Rafa drives you around Medellin and outside the city....meals included, swimming in lakes, amazing views! Overall great experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owners are supremely helpful and incredibly friendly. Would recommend.

Most common areas were not usually clean, the bathroom floor was always wet and had no carpet to step on nor hand towels. Since the is no breakfast included yo have to use a lot the kitchen but it was always dirty and the refrigerator was a mess.

The staff are great and speak English well. The location is good. There is a nice atmosphere there and a lot of different places to hang out. It's a big hostel so there are lots of people.

I loved this place! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hostel is near a few inexpensive but delicious restaurants and bakeries so that made up for them not offering any food. The rooms are not very sound proof so you can hear doors slamming at night when everyone is going out, take earplugs.

HOT SHOWER!! Rare in Colombia although you don't really need it in the hot weather. Good hostel with friendly staf. Small enough to meet people and socialise.

Chill hostel, with good vibe

Peaceful location, great coffee shop round the corner for breakfast. The rooms are uninspiring and lack any character but spacious, really clean and safe. A relief to not be right in the centre of poblado but close enough to walk there. Staff were really cheerful and friendly.

Very social hostel which is in the famous neighbourhood close to zona rosa where you find restaurants, parties and bars. Nice roof terrace. Really warm and no air conditioning in the rooms, kitchen could be cleaner and no breakfast. Besides that a great hostel with nice staff.

Really liked the place! Staff is super nice and helpfull. Nice common areas where you can chill and meet other people. It is clean and the beds are comfy. Location is great, near to bars restaurants, a big supermarket en the metro. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

We loved our stay at the Black Sheep. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. The room was very spacious and very clean and excellent value. We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the hostel and the neighbourhood. The hostel is a ten minute walk each from the metro, the supermarket and the zona rosa, which makes it an ideal base to explore the city if you don't mind a little bit of walking. Only downside is that they don't provide breakfast but there's a great place just around the corner.

Friendly and helpful staff, great location close to the metro and exito and some great tours that the hostel helps to organize that makes life so much easier and enjoyable. The multiple common areas also lead to a great atmosphere within the hostel. I had such a great time staying here.
