Really great hostel, very secure and in a good location. Has everything you need and staff are incredibly helpful.

The staff provides a very useful information about the city and the most important places to visit.

One of the nicest hostels we stayed in in South America. Clean, efficiently run, helpful staff.

We loved this hostel.The staff and the owner Kelvin were friendly ,knowledgable and always there to help with anything. I felt like I was at home.

Relaxed hostel, met some nice people in there. Stayed in the 8 bed dorm which as 8 bed dorms go was fine. As someone who isn't a big fan of party hostels I found this place to be a good alternative. And should you want to party in one of those places they are walking distance from Black Sheep.

Really great hostel in A very nice part of town very near to bars, restaurants and very importantly Exito. I can truly second all recommendations for the kiwi BBQ on Sunday. The one thing I retry not doing was taking the Spanish lessons. They're well priced and apparently very good.

Hostel is well located just outside Zona Rosa, really chilled out atmosphere not a particuarly party hostel as the party is around the corner in the bars! Friendly knowledgable staff and good chill out zones, 10 bed dorm is really really spacious, good internet facilities are worth the small cost to use them!

Fantastic location - close to the southern bus terminal (5COP4,000 fare, more or less), short walk to the metro (which by default makes you close to everything), and less than 5min walk to major banks and airline offices. The area is safe as houses, so make the most of being in a main Colombian city without the usual paranoia.

Rooms are a very good size with nice tiled floors and importantly always clean. Excellent facilities - large TV, new computers, good internet availability and very helpful staff. Friendly atmosphere and you can get to know your fellow travelers and a nice chilled out vibe. Would highly recommend this hostel.

Excellent hostel, well located. Staff is friendly, beds and bathrooms are clean. Sunday (?) BBQ is great! I hope my stay in Medellin wasn't the last one and I definitely will choose the Black Sheep again. Ksenia

Most enjoyable - I went back for two more nights. Hostellers civilised and sociable, staff most helpful. T.V. well away from dormitories. Dorm beds rather creaky - they need strengthening or replacing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I would expect better cleaning. I had no sheets and blanket in my bed. The cat should work better cause I saw a mouse in the garden.

It's a pretty descent hostal, definitely not bad, but not excellent either. It's a good place to stay if you want to have a good nights sleep! And the girls at the desk were very friendly and helpful!

This is a really nice hostel! Good communal areas and very nice staff,especially the girl on reception during the day. Was an older crowd, ie 30s - 40s, but maybe that was just the case when I was there.

Great hostel in Medellin. Very clean, helpful staff. I visited some other hostels in Medellin and Black Sheep was the best.

Very nice hostel in a save and quiet area and yet close (walking distance) to metro station, supermarket and nightlife. Good, friendly and helpful staff, lots of space to hang out (outdoor and indoor), clean and modern. Would definitively recommend it. Not *the* party hostel but yet enough people to have fun with... I definitively enjoyed my stay here (and Medellin is quite cool city anyway)!

I have never met a more rude person then the guy that works there by the name of alejandro. I've never written such a horrible review as this but after meeting 2 girls in barranquilla that also stayed there and have the same feelings i thought i would let people know. I think the hostel would have been descent if it wasn't for alejandro working there but with being mediocre and then having to deal with him i would suggest never stepping foot in that place unless he no longer works there.

Great location near the metro system giving easy access to all the sites. The hostel ticks all the boxes - I would definitely give it my full recommendation.
