The staff was extremely accommodating and I loved the place's weird decor. I thought the hostel was clean, cozy, and perfect if you need a place to stay for a few days in Cologne. The kitchen is a huge plus and it's nice that they have an small, but free breakfast available.

My friend and I only stayed one night, and we got there very late because of train delays. Once we got to Black Sheep Hostel, we were ready to pass out. Unfortunately, there was a group of the most obnoxious children on the planet next door. Needless to say, we got very little sleep. The hostel itself seemed alright, we just had unfortunate circumstances... and the walls are very thin.

Gorgeous hostel, creepy from the outside but once you're in the decor and people are really sweet. Breakfast included is great and full use of the kitchen is a great money saver. Really clean and really friendly, if visiting cologne again we would definitely go back to the black sheep

The price was good, rooms are big (there's enough palce for all), the terrace is nice. Breakfast is good, and I like the free internet, free food in the hostel. Tha staff is amazing.

Great: Kitchen open 24 hours, Breakfast from 7-12, helpful staff, bathrooms incredibly clean, washing machine available @ 2 euro, large frig for food, very ample cooking facility & dishes/cooking stuff, fun painting on room doors & in hallway, good map Not so great: no apparent quiet times -- awoken at 0445 by loud talking guys blasting rap music on the patio, no wi-fi

I had an amazing stay here!! I met some really great friends and the staff was always helpful! Everything was kept clean and the location was pretty good with grocery stores nearby. There was no wifi but a free computer to use, I think having no wifi made it easier to make friends

Very nice Hostel, but was charged €50 for a small spillage of beer in the carpet which I thought was very high.

The first thing which sticks out is the fact that there is no Wifi, which is almost unheard of these days. It doesnt have that good tyoe of atmosphere you look for in a hostel, but its a decent place to stay if you just need a place to sleep to explore Cologne. The kitchen/common room area was dirty and the dishes probably should be replaced.

This hostel was all right, but really too much money for what you get compared to other hostels! No curtains in the room made sleeping difficult but overall it's allright.

The breakfast is good, buffet-like. No hair-dryer, no WIFI, just one old and slow computer for all, no free-time activities or programs organized by the hostel. This is not a clean place, I definitely do not recommend it for family holidays, just in case you need a bed to sleep.

Good layout however the hostel gives the impression on being quite rundown. No wifi was a show stopper.

Staffs are very nice here, and the price is reasonable. It would be very very very good if there is wifi. =)

Good! Quite a comfy bed which is definitely welcome after travelling hostels for weeks. Awesome painting jobs!

We hardly slept because of th loud noise outside, drunk people. The location is not good in this aspect.
