It's a quite good hostel. Everthing is OK with them.

This hostel was very nice. It was always really clean and the staff were really helpful. There were also big lockers with plugs in each locker which was really nice. They did have a no alcohol policy and you were not allowed to be in any of the common areas after midnight, which was strange - definitely not a party hostel. Other than that, it was excellent.

Very nice hostel. It really looks like what you see on the pictures. The building itself is also beautiful, 5 minutes walk from the bus station. The old Barcelona is also quite near from this hostel, about 10 minutes walking. It is clean, the beds are comfortable though the pillow is really thin. There is not a lot of atmosphere, but if you are more looking for a nice place where you can sleep and take a hot shower, you will love it.

The sounds proof of the sleeping room is not good, the toilet flushing sounds can be heard in the sleeping room and the hand dryer machines keep running. There is no night light for each bed, there are only two big lights in the sleeping room and that it's disturbing people's rest if you turn them on.

It is the best hostel i have ever stayed. Everything was good, except that they don't offer breakfast. But everything else is very good!

Very accommodating staff! Even though we had a late train and weren't staying the night they allowed us to chill out in the common room during late hours and keep our bags in the baggage room! Looks identical to the pictures on the Internet! Very satisfied with it being our first hostel experience ever. Thank you Black Swan :)

This is not a bad hostel. It's decently clean and looks modern. If you are looking for a quiet hostel to sleep in, then this is probably it for you. The only drawbacks are that the kitchen is closed at midnight, which is freaking early. Also, there is a no-drinking in the hostel policy, which they enforce (at least in the kitchen area), and there are cameras. You can get away with drinking in the rooms since there are no cameras, but still just very inconvenient. This is a goody-goody hostel...

Good hostel. Staff (Natalia and ola) very helpful. Natalia helped me organise restaurant bookings etc ahead of trip. They do like you to keep quiet at night because of neighbours, but not necessrily a problem. Good price, would recommend

Good location right by the arc. Large bedrooms (mine was 10/room) with only one set of showers and one set of bathrooms per gender, per building. Odd security-the staff had to let you in, but did not check to see if you were actually staying there. Do NOT do the tapas/flamenco experience-huge waste of money. Walking tour (Gaudi or Gothic) is good though Definitely a "quiet" hostel- lounge and kitchen close by a certain time and lobby area is very confined and small.

I liked that the hostel staff give you fresh sheets - you know they're clean! The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner and the power outlets weren't working in the dorm rooms for our entire stay which was a big inconvenience. The kitchen was really nice with new appliances and plenty of space.

The hostel was really nice, new and clean. The showers and bathroom excellent. It was really well located from the gothic area. The only detail was that the plugs in the room didnt work so i needed to use the ones in the common area and there was a water issue in the kitchen roof.

Unhappy that laundry services were not yet working and the charging outlets in our room were not working.

Everything was wonderful. From the multinational staff to the rooms and common areas. It was very clean and safe. The rooms were great. Beds really comfy. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone.

This hostel was awesome! I stayed here with a group of friends, and we had a mixed 8-bed dorm. Our roommates weren't the best bit other guests were really nice and friendly. The location is great, we walked almost everywhere, though I would recommend getting a metro 10-pass which you can share with friends.

The Black Swan was hands down one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. It was beautiful, inexpensive, and very easy security to use to keep your stuff safe. Facilities are great too! If I ever went to Barcelona again I would stay there without a doubt!

Great hostel for this kind of money: clean, safe, great kitchen. It’s comfortable in general, except that there’re bathrooms only in the second floor, and if you are alone in the showers you might end up showering in the dark since there are motion sensors for the lights.
