I loved this hostel! It\'s adorable and clean, and right on the main street in Rotorua. Staff were so helpful and polite, plus you get a free half hour of internet - more than enough for a quick email/Facebook check. They have laundry machines you can use for $2, but the staff will do and fold your laundry for free :) The cafe right across the street has the BEST coffee too.

This hostel is in the middle of Rotorua.. perfect location and a cozy place to be. when we were there was thursday and the night market was right outside our door. Delicious food and good music. There was a new guy Jordan which helped us a lot even though he was new there and he was very nice to us! The hostel has all the facilities and gives you good value for your money! I loved Rotorua!

Favourite hostel we stayed in (out of about 10) Staff are amazing, took us under their wings and showed us around and took us out, amazing atmosphere, love it!

I really liked staying at this small hostel, although it was a bit hard to find. If there's one thing I could complain about it's that there's no WIFI, all with all, very good hostel.

The only bad thing I have to say is they need to buy insect repellent, they have a bad case of ants and spiders! But besides that great worth of money :)

Location is excellent. Staff was nice. But there was nobody there other than me. Should have trash cans in the rooms. No lockers. Cleanliness wasn't the best.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hey Adrian, sorry for a quiet night, guests come and go as they want which we really like just to relax in between busy days and nights. If you would have extended or came the night before, you could have witnessed a pretty packed hostel both nights. I guess it was just bad timing :-) Good luck for next time and enjoy your travels, your Blarney's Rock Backpackers Team

A great place to stay. The staff were willing to help where possible and was close to some decent bars/pubs. It was clean and doing laundry was cheap compared to a lot of places. The kitchen was clean with good facilities and the showers were in decent nick. Would stay here again!

Nice hostel, feels like a sharehouse rather than a hostel. Would recommend :)

Great atmosphere though facilities were slightly dated. Would recommend it for a short term stay.

Good stay would fully recommend. Free Pizza on a Tuesday will probably define when I check in next time though! The only problem was the card machine was down when I arrived, but just luck of the draw really!

A nice place to stay for a one night stop over, felt like some ones house which is nice but it might be hard to meet people, but I can't really say!

The hostel could be ok if some things change: for example the kitchen was not clean at all, plus there was not enough equipment. There were a few longtermers who made it really noisy in the evening, plus we had the worst possible roommate in our dorm: drunk, smelly, and burping all the time. Disgusting.
