Bled Backpackers Hostel Reviews

An Excellent host in Greg sure to make you feel welcome (and the shots of local brew help!) This place has a cracking location in Bled and can organise all the tours etc. you could want. I went in low season and it rained but still a great place to visit and hike and enjoy a beer or two - I'd happily go back in the summer and won't look any further than this place for a bed!

The hostel smells terribly and is not as close as it describes to the lake and station. A bar downstairs...

Greg, haven't got a chance to say goodbye to you. It was a lovely stay in the hostel, wish I can stayed longer.

Considering this place is in a lake town, it was great! Not new but clean and friendly staff. The woman at the bar makes a great cappuccino in the morning for only ONE euro!

Okay, but could not sleep on weekend nights due to loud thumping music until 6am.

staff are very nice, bed is comfortable. the only negative thing is that there is a bar under the hostel, sometime they plays music loud midnight.

Almost at a loss for words at how much my fiance and i enjoyed our stay at Bled Backpackers - could not ask for ANY more! A beautiful location at the base of the castle, above a bar packed full of character and friendly locals, BB is a must-stay if you are in the Bled area. The only thing better than the stunning surroundings is Greg, the friendly+ebullient manager, ever-helpful and humorous and greeting your with free samples of the local fruit brandy - sad to leave but will definitely return!

The hostel is simply super cool. Greg is unbelievably enterprising and so is Daniel. The bar is super live and brimming with localites who are as well very very friendly. In all, A+

Went in the off season so was not very hoping, but the manager was friendly and helpful. Internet throughout the building was great, as well as showers.

Greg was awesome, he was super nice and welcoming (free welcome drink yay!) and he told us all about the different hikes we could do. The hostel was really clean and the atmosphere at the bar downstairs was fun, but not loud or anything, the noise didn't really make it upstairs. Bled is absolutely beautiful, I'm dying to go back when it's a little warmer to enjoy all the summer sports and activities. And if and when I go back, I'll definitely be staying at the Bled Backpackers Hostel!!

We turned up before the start of the season, which meant that some minor building work was going on - nothing too serious, but much to our surprise, along with free welcoming drinks (and a compulsory shot!) the manager Greg only charged us half price due to the building work! Along with that he gave us some excellent tips about what to see and do and invited us along to the start of season bqq for his friends and the builders. Bar downstairs good value too. Would definately stay there again!

The bar downstairs is too loud! Flat sheets for the bed are torn and need to be replaced. Nice Staff very helpful ! Thank you

Great stay, it was very quiet due to the off season. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice too have the local bar just down stairs. Only bad thing there is no kitchen, but eating out was pretty cheap and the local food was great. Gregga u are a legend.

Greg, the manager, is really helpful and nice guy. He gave me all information I need for my sightseeing. As I came in non-peak period, I even got a room for myself. There is no locker in the room, but I was staying alone in the room, so no issue with that. The bathroom is outside, but also no queue at this time. Welcome drink is given at the bar downstairs. Overall it's been a great stay with Bled backpackers.
