We had a great stay at Blind Eye Hostel. If the accomodation in itself is sufficient, without being spectacular, it has all one needs in terms of beds, storage, showers, etc. But the main advantage of Blind Eye compared to other places is its staff. All staff members are bilingual English/Czech, there is someone at the reception literally 24/7, and they are all really helpful. We met lots of people, had great conversations... A place we heartily recommend.

Staff was very friendly . they explained how to find the main stations, how to visit other cities like Karlovy Vary , Brno, helped with taxi, ans also gave all necessary information about the Prague. Towels, breakfast, extra linen, movies are available without problems. only mosquitoes were a big problem. everything was clean in the rooms. location is ok, 20-30 min to the city center by walking, or less than 5 min to tram station. to the station Florenc it took 7-10 min to walk.

the staff is very helpful, can give you advice for your trip. the room is not very clean, can see people's hair on the sheet. anyway, considering the price, still good value for money

To be honest the beds were the worst/most uncomfortable beds I slept in during my travels. Staff were helpful but American employee's language was appalling. I don't mind bad language but every third word was f%&k which is unprofessional. Only 15 min walk to town which was great & pub on corner beside hostel serves very good food & is excellent value if you'd rather not spend double in the city itself. Hostel provides clean towels everyday (if you ask @ reception). Relaxed vibes/atmosphere.

the hostel was not bad, but the location is a little far away from the center... and to walk there at night is not so nice.. i think that the hostel was too expensive... i was in another hostels in prague for the same price, and they were much better

Owner Comment (Show)
We're sorry you feel that way. There is no question there are hostels out there with better facilities, we didn't have 1,000,000 euros to build the place like the chain hostels do. We built the place on a shoestring budget using as many found materials as possible in a DIY fashion... It's not a boutique hostel but it is built with love and being travelers ourselves we made sure that every necessity was taken care of, what we didn't spend money on was frills and gimmicks. If you want frills and gimmicks go elsewhere, if you want a comfortable quality stay with people who know the city and know how to take care of you then stay with us, when it comes to customer service there is no better.

The hostel has a very good staff, very friendly. The shower had hot water, was clean and the rooms were not the best in the world but were fine for the price. It is a good hostel, I'd stay there again any time if i go back to prague. Thank you, Blind Eye Hostel & Guest House for making a pleasant journey.

Blind Eye was a great hostel. Easy to find, clean, and pretty spacious. There are small lamps and large trunks (that can be locked if you bring one) by each bed. The staff there are especially cool. The guys who were working the counter when I stayed were were native English speakers and also fluent in Czech (which was incredibly helpful), and very approachable. They are knowledgeable and helpful about the best ways around the city, and not just the traditional tourist routes either.

Other than the dog roaming around in the lounge at the entrance i think everything there was marvellous when considered with respect to the price we paid for it. Clean towels, clean rooms, hot showers, just one tram stop away from main station, good breakfast and very nice staff.

I thought the staff was great, the location wasn't too bad because it was close to a tram line, and the price was good. My only complaint would be the finicky water temperature in one of the showers, but it was peak shower time.

This hostel is good! The staff is always available to answer your questions, and we also had the breakfast for free! The only inconvenience that I met is that the toilets don't have keys, so you cannot lock the door, but at least there are different toilets for men and women, so you are not afraid that a person of the other sex will open the door...

Really nice place - we enjoyed our stay there. I'm not sure was it the Easter time the hostel being fully booked but the toiletpaper and warm water was constantly ran out.

Staff are very nice. but a water heater is really too terrible. once some more people have a shower, the water will get cold soon.

I have stayed at many hostels throughout europe and blindeye had the friendliest reception i have ever encountered. It felt like home away from home, I am actually planning to stay at this hostel again. It was very safe, there was plenty of space and the staff was really helpful. They were literally willing to bend over backwards for you this seemed very rare for europe it reminded me of north america. I would definitely stay here again!!!
