We had a lovely stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly and most helpful. The room was nicely decorated and clean even if we did have to climb 6 flights of stairs! The car park is quite small and we had to wait to find a space. There are side streets to park in but you can get fined if you overstay or don't have a permit. This hostel is located very close to the centre of town and some nice restaurants. I would come back again.

The place is located in a prime area just right outside York. This establishment could easily be 5-Star....however, the hotel is in much needed TLC (tender love and care). It was a nice B&B but its just dirty and not kept up well. This is mainly because the staff don't put in the initiative to keep the place clean and tidy. Also the car park is small (only 6 places for cars) and there was construction going on next door that started at 8AM everyday.

They were pretty cool with us checking in at 10 which is great! The place itself is about 10-15 min walk to York Minster but there's nothing much in the area. There's a shortcut to the train station (around 10-15min too). We got the room on the first floor. It's a bit dusty but decent. My mom loves the biscuits they gave us. It's a bit annoying because you always here people ringing the bell for reception. Friendly staff though!
