Blue coast hostel is located close to the bus station and close to the main square. Unfortunately I found that none of the staff knew much about the local area (with exception of the owner) and did not seem to want to find out for us. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet paper was often empty or nearly so. We ended up spending quite a bit of money on food in Setubal as we were not permitted to use the kitchen to cook for ourselves. The kitchen often smelled of cigarette smoke.

The hostel was in a central location in Setubal, just behind praca de Bocage. The room was big and quite and lockers were available. The staff was nice and kind and they use to cook dinner every evening at a chear price for the guests that wanted. Bathroom were not many but not crowded.

I was so impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by Blue Coast Hostel. Each day was an adventure guided by the hosts Olga and Cristiano. It was as if I was staying in a grand family Portuguese home. Lovely themed sleeping areas, free WiFi and parking around the corner. TV, cooking area and grand bathrooms. Location is very central to city centre and narrow shopping streets full of character. Moments walk to bus depo which can take you to Lisborn. Highly recommended!!
