Sandor looked after us very well and told us where to go for a great trip.

Sandor is great Host, and with his advice, we spent excellent time in Budapest. Apartment was clear, quiet and about 100 meters from Vacci strasse :) We shell come again :)

A full equipped apartment, clean, warm and quiet (free wifi). Located right at the heart of the Jewish quarter, an area full of restaurants, cafes and bars (The Simple Garden bar is 30 meters away). It takes a 15 minutes walk to main commercial streets (Vaçi) or to the Opera. Sandor is a very kind, knowledgeable host. When we arrived he provided us with a full plan, leaving us well informed to decide what to do. He also patiently answered our questions on Hungary's recent past.

We had an excellent time at Blue Danube Hostel - Sandor was an unbelievably awesome host. He's super helpful, clearly loves his city, and can find something for everyone.

Sandor (hostel owner) is very friendly and helpful. He gave us a map and gave us plenty of advice on what to see, where to eat, concerts, ... . You can always contact him if you need something and he drops by quite often. He's also a great storyteller (Köleves). The hostel has a great location, close to the central metro station, great restaurants and pubs. The hostel felt like home right away. Highly recommended!

Sandor is great! He told us about the best places to see, to eat at, and places to be. I would definitely came back to this apartment.

This is a great homely hostel. It is almost like staying in your own little apartment. The place is in a prime location for getting to all the sites of Budapest. The owner Sandor was very helpful giving us helpful insider hints on what to see, do and where to eat in Budapest. I would definitely stay here again.

Owner very nice. He knows everything to do in the city, the places to be and to avoid. Very available if you have the slightest problem. The comfort is really good for the price and the hostel is very well located. In conclusion, we had a wonderful time there, and will certainly come again

This hostel exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, we only took the transit to get to and from the airport as it is so centrally located, 1/2 block from an internet cafe, 1/2 block from a ruin pub which is unique to Budapest and must be checked out and right next to a really great Thai restaurant. There are many restaurants and little cafes/pubs in this area. The room we had was very clean and had everything we could want. The host is exceptional, I cannot say enough about him.

excellent hostel! It was very spacious and almost apartment-like, and everything was clean and comfortable. Our big room shared a kitchen and 2 bathrooms with just one other room in a cute courtyard, and it was very easy to get around. Sandor was extremely nice and helpful and gave us great suggestions on everything we were interested in seeing. He even went to the nearby internet cafe to help us print out our bus tickets before we left! Would definitely go back here.

Stay at the Blue Danube if only to meet the world´s friendliest hostel owner Sandor! Who picked us up at 11pm, gave a tour of the sights & a list of live entertainment for the week, told us the best places to eat & drink! We stayed in our own apartment which felt like home. The kitchen was fully equipped but the area is filled with cheap eateries and ruin pubs (the best one about 3 doors down) so we never used it! Book for as long as you can spare, it´s worth every cent.Thanks so much! c u soon

The apartment were we stayed was really great, with its own kitchen and toillet. Sandor picked us at the train station and gave us a map and a lot of tips about the city. The location is great and the owner (Sandor) is a very nice guy who made us feel very comfortable!!

The hostel was more like a rented apartment than a hostel! The room was clean, great bathroom and shower and access to the best equipped kitchen I have seen in a 'hostel', including a teapot! The location was great, with lots going on in the evenings nearby and easy access to everything in the day. The hostel owner was really helpful, going above and beyond to suggest all of the best sights and trying to help tailor the visit to our specific needs and requirements! Would use again!

Great location, and Sandor is a great guide with much information about the city. Its an apartment hostel, so there isn't much socializing unless you bring the crowd (or are in an apt with a common area, not sure if they have these.) But one of the most popular bars in town (Szimpla) is right across the street, and it is one of the most unique places I have ever been to. Highly recommended.

It was very nice to stay there! Is a very nice place and in a very good location, near the most nice places to go out in the night, and also near important monuments in the city. I will come back for sure!!!

I don't think anyone looking to stay at a hostel could expect or want anything more. Our hosts, Sandor and Eva, picked us up at the train station (at no cost), took us on a quick tour of the city, then explained where all of the sites in the city could be found. We stayed in a private apartment, which was a short walk to restaurants and many of the most popular sites in Budapest. This place comes with our highest recommendation.
