Our host was very nice and full of good advice. The room is very well located. Everything was perfect for this week-end in Budapest !

Trust me. That's THE hostel. Great location and Sandor is very attencious and helpful. Rooms are great! Go for it.

A fantastic stay at the Blue Danube Hostel!! Everything is taken care of and there is no better deal. I would absolutely recommend it for people who want to be within walking distance of both tourist attractions and nightlife.

The hostel es hommy and clean. The owner si very helpufull and came to pick us up for free at the train station. We had a chicken and we could use the washing machine for free (you have to buy the detergent of course). The only thing I did not like was that the buildings are old. The wifi worked well. Location excellet, near great pubs and restaurants. If you are looking to party AT the hostel, this is not the place, the atmosphere is lonely.

A great location, sweet and comfortable, located at the very center of the "Ruin Pubs" area : if you come for parties, you can't find a better place ! Still it's very quiet and secure (due to the inner courtyard the hostel lies in), we simply felt like home :-) You can reach the Jewish Quarter but also the city center with only a fifteen-minutes walk : if too much, the metro line is even closer :-) Last but not least : Sándor, the owner of the hostel is extremely nice, helpful and available !!!

This hostel was INCREDIBLE! It was basically like staying in an apartment right in the heart of the entertainment district. It was an ideal location, amazing facilities, and the owner was unbelievably friendly and helpful.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at! Sandor, the hostel owner, is incredibly accommodating and will do anything to make sure your stay is comfortable. Our apartment ran out of hot water once but he came right away to fix it. If you're arriving in Budapest by train, Sandor will offer to pick you up from the station and bring you to your apartment for free. Once you get there he'll give you all sorts of recommendations about where to go - seriously, ask him all and any questions!

Probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at, with a perfect location and very helpful staff. Amazing stay!

Amazing location, basically opposite Szimpla, a ruin bar. Sandor gave us so much information and help! :) Airport transfers with Sandor cheap and so easy too. Would definitely go back, a weekend wasn't long enough!

We had a great stay at the Blue Danube. Sandor was extremely helpful in picking us up from the train station, providing us with everything we could possibly want to know about Budapest, and bringing us to the airport when we were leaving. The place is clean and has an excellent location. Sandor gives great advice about what to see and do and is clearly very passionate about his city. I don't see how you could stay anywhere better. Definitely recommended.

The location was great. Our little studio was right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter. So many great eateries and bars to go to. (Tip for all Antipodeans - go to GoaMama - they do Flat Whites, and do them well!) The best thing about Blue Danube, as everyone states, is the host. Sandor is informative, and helpful beyond belief. The local knowledge he imparts is simply superb. Would definitely recommend staying at Blue Danube!

Sandor was great, as everyone has mentioned. It's essentially a private apartment in the party-side of town, so it's great if that's what you're looking for.

Stayed 4 nights at Blue Daube; sandor was great...spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful. Location could not have been more perfect, great places to eat and go out! Definitely try the Coconut chili soup across the street at Gastrobar...amazing!!! Would recommend ths place to anyone staying in Budapest.

We were so impressed with this hostel. Sandor is an excellent host who is super knowledgable and helpful. He picked us up from the train station, and provided us with a wealth of information of things to see and do not only in Budapest but also in Romania (our next stop). Our room was very clean and the location of the hostel is perfect; we walked every where. P. S. Thank you Sandor for everything; we had an excellent time in Romania thanks to your recommendations.

Our stay here was exceptional - all thanks to Sandor, the owner of the Blue Danube. He picked us up from the train station (even greeted us with a sign with our name on it) and dropped us off at the train station when we left. He was very helpful in recommending restaurants, bars, sights, etc. The room we stayed in was amazing! It was the apartment; probably the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. It was clean, roomy, and had everything that we needed. Book it!
