Best hostel I have ever stayed in! Fantastic!

Perfect location if you want quirky pubs. The manager is awesome - he spent a lot of time on our arrival explaining the city to us and what to go and see, which was informative even for someone who has spent a lot of time in BP before. An apartment, so fully equipped kitchen etc. bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner. We had a great stay.

Excellent location plus Sander is an excellent host. He love his city and it shows! He gives excellent advice and he comes by everyday to see if everything is fine. I enjoyed being in thae area that this hostel is in : great food, great bars, lots to see! I will definitely return!

It's actually not a hostel, it was a fully equipped flat. I booked a single room with shared bathroom and stayed in a 2-bedroom flat in a quiet courtyard. If you’re looking for a party hostel with a rooftop and bar to meet people, then this is not your place. But if you want your privacy, it’s perfect. The location couldn't be any better, sightseeing and party-wise. Sandor was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

The place was great, the airport pick up was a bargain, once we arrived we were given a very comprehensive introduction about the city, the location, current activities and events, where to eat and where not to eat. The apartment was super clean with free wifi, it was not part of a complete and had its own front door so really made you feel like a local. I could not travel due to the cancellation of my flight...But Sandor was very understanding and didnt charge me the first night.

3 friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip to Budapest. We booked the 4 person apartment, with an ensuite bathroom. The room was literally an apartment, with a full kitchen (with utensils, pots, pans, basic cooking supplies such as vegetable oil and salt, etc.), a large clean bathroom, and a little porch. The apartment was very secure and centrally located. Sandor, the owner, was helpful every step of the way and even to us to/from the train station for free. We could not have been happier.

This was the perfect place to stay as a group of 2 or 4 as we had an apartment with 2 rooms to ourselves thanks to a bit of luck. You'll be introduced to Bratislava by a top man as well! Really helpful and a great character.

I have to say that Sandor, the owner, was extremely helpful and informative with a seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of Budapest!! The hostel (apartment) was perfectly situated among cool bars, near the centre (and just across the road from Szimpla Kert). excellent stay in an excellent city.

Our host was very nice and full of good advice. The room is very well located. Everything was perfect for this week-end in Budapest !

Trust me. That's THE hostel. Great location and Sandor is very attencious and helpful. Rooms are great! Go for it.

A fantastic stay at the Blue Danube Hostel!! Everything is taken care of and there is no better deal. I would absolutely recommend it for people who want to be within walking distance of both tourist attractions and nightlife.

The hostel es hommy and clean. The owner si very helpufull and came to pick us up for free at the train station. We had a chicken and we could use the washing machine for free (you have to buy the detergent of course). The only thing I did not like was that the buildings are old. The wifi worked well. Location excellet, near great pubs and restaurants. If you are looking to party AT the hostel, this is not the place, the atmosphere is lonely.

A great location, sweet and comfortable, located at the very center of the "Ruin Pubs" area : if you come for parties, you can't find a better place ! Still it's very quiet and secure (due to the inner courtyard the hostel lies in), we simply felt like home :-) You can reach the Jewish Quarter but also the city center with only a fifteen-minutes walk : if too much, the metro line is even closer :-) Last but not least : Sándor, the owner of the hostel is extremely nice, helpful and available !!!

One of the best hostels I've stayed at! Sandor, the hostel owner, is incredibly accommodating and will do anything to make sure your stay is comfortable. Our apartment ran out of hot water once but he came right away to fix it. If you're arriving in Budapest by train, Sandor will offer to pick you up from the station and bring you to your apartment for free. Once you get there he'll give you all sorts of recommendations about where to go - seriously, ask him all and any questions!

This hostel was INCREDIBLE! It was basically like staying in an apartment right in the heart of the entertainment district. It was an ideal location, amazing facilities, and the owner was unbelievably friendly and helpful.

Probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at, with a perfect location and very helpful staff. Amazing stay!

Excellent Wifi, location, kitchen, free pickup and drop off to train station. shower and Beds comfort can be improved.
