Sandor is an amazing host. He prepared everything for our stay, told us some good place to visit in the city, places to eat, to spend a good night. The hostel itself was the best I ever stayed. We got a private bathroom, kitchen and a lot of space. Really the best deal I got so far with Hostelworld.com I definetely recommend you this place for your stay in Budapest. One more thing... This hostel is just like 50meters away from one of the best pub i've ever been in the whole world, the Szimpla

Absolutely fantastic time at this 'hostel'. more like a private appartment really! right across the road from stayed in a room literally right across the road to one of the best pubs/bars ive been to. Sandor pretty much gave me my itinerary of the best things to do - from beethoven to the best parties. Even did my laundry for me as the laundromats were closed!!

Best feature is helpfulness of hostel owner, Sandor, who transported us to and from the train station at no charge, gave a detailed description of Budapest highlights and where to get best value for $, and responded generously to every enquiry. The hostel has well-equipped kitchen, clothes washing facilities, effective heating. Decor is eclectic & fun. Located in Jewish Quarter lane, close to many bars (some "ruins") & restaurants, Tesco, ATM, public transport. Great value.

We had a great stay at Blue Danube! Sandor was extremely warm and friendly, going above and beyond in orienting us to the city and recommending activities. We were truly appreciative of his hospitality and his willingness to share his love for Budapest with us. Thanks so much Sandor!

It is like having your own apartment in Budapest! A comfortable, spacious and clean one in the heart of the city, in front of one of the most interesting bars I have ever been to. Sandor gives you all the information you need to experience all that is to be done in Budapest. One of the most helpful and friendly persons I hav ever met!The room is gorgeous, the location is amazing and they help you with everything. Simply perfect!

The owners of the hostel were very helpful with sharing what the city has to offer and providing a lot of information about the city as well as a free pick up from the train station. They were always available if there were any problems in their home next door. I really do not have anything negative to say - thanks for the great experience!

The experience was very positive. The location allowed us to move on foot around the principal sights of Budapest, including spas. Location, staff, security and cleanlinness were very good. Sandor recomended us to go to Lukács spas, one of the most effective, because of the medical waters.

Sandor is wonderful. He is very friendly, helpful and extremely informative (he even picked us up from the train station when we arrived and dropped us off when we were leaving). The place itself is ideally located and very well-maintained. It even manages to be quiet throughout the night whilst being on one of the main partying streets of Budapest. I would definitely recommend this hostel, if only to have the pleasure of meeting Sandor.

Sandor is the perfect host. Very enthusiast, informative and will go the extra mile, going to the train station to get you for example! The room was perfect with a well equipped kitchenette, on a very quiet street close to pretty much everything and it felt safe. I could not have asked for more, really!

Sándor the owner is amazing! He dropped whatever he had at the moment if we needed anything. The location is great for walking everywhere and is across from a famous ruin pub. It was super safe as well! I would recommend this to anyone over any other hostel. The man loves his job and takes good care of his facilities!

A full equipped apartment, clean, warm and quiet (free wifi). Located right at the heart of the Jewish quarter, an area full of restaurants, cafes and bars (The Simple Garden bar is 30 meters away). It takes a 15 minutes walk to main commercial streets (Vaçi) or to the Opera. Sandor is a very kind, knowledgeable host. When we arrived he provided us with a full plan, leaving us well informed to decide what to do. He also patiently answered our questions on Hungary's recent past.
