The hostel is great, especially taking into account how hotels are in Rome. The only problem was the noise. The bedroom door is not good enough, so you hear every person that comes in and out. Besides, the check out is extra early (10 am). Being able to leave at 12 pm would be nice.

Blue Hostel is a wonderful, clean and supremely located hostel!Hercules the owner is a warm and friendly, and most of all helpful man, who immediately made us feel welcome and showed us everywhere to go and eat and drink! I would recommend it to anyone travelling primarily in pairs!it is located 5minute walk from the Termini and in walking distance to every site in Rome!Thank you :D

Was expecting cooking facilities and a common area but the Blue Hostel does not have these. Also I was expecting to pay the price quoted by Hostel World but there was an extra tax added on when I got there that had to be paid.

It was certainly one of the best hostels we ve been. The atmosphere made the difference and the staff was more than helpfull(thanks Marcello!) We graded everything as excellent. the character is unique, security was really raised for a hostel, the location ideal, very clean, very beautifully decorated and warm people, the best place to go back to after a full day of walking and sightseeing!whenever we return to rome we ll certainly choose it again!

This is a good place to stay for couples. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The location is good, too - close to termini station, but in a quiet street. We were happy with it and would definitely book it again!

We stayed there for 3 nights and were very pleased with our choice. Despite of arriving to Rome quite late at night, Marcello, the manager was very kind waiting for us to give us the keys and explain us everything in the room. It's a great place to stay, very well located and in a few steps from Termini station.

the hostel was very nice, but the only problem was it is on the third floor without a lift, there was no info about this on the website. And you have to pass through 3 doors with bags in your hands, it was really difficult. The decoration and cleanliness was good but I d prefer somebody from the staff to be present at the hostel 24 hours, you can only call them when there is a problem, and it takes 25 minutes for them to arrive.

Owner Comment (Show)
I am surprised. We always take our guests in great consideration, so when you broke the key in the keyhole of the building we managed to have someone bringing you a new key in no more than fifteen minutes. It takes time to go to the shop and make a new key! Also it is normal to have more than one door. Having just one door means a room on the street or sleeping in a tent.

We had a lovely, quiet room facing to the backyard. Everything was perfectly clean; the room very cosy with its old furniture and ceiling, and the bathroom renovated. There was no common room (?) but we spent the most time outside so we wouldn't miss it. The hostel is close to the trainstation in a nice area and we walked to the old center each day. We also got great recommandations for restaurants and bars in Rome.

Blue Hostel was fantastic. Not your average hostel. Super clean, beautiful rooms, and everything is brand new. Awesome shower as well. A friend and I went for the weekend and we were very impressed! The location is great, easy walk from Termini and to all the sites. Ercole was fantastic and sat down with us and a map to show us the best places to visit, suggested restaurants and pointed out popular piazzas to go of a glass of wine. When I am back in Rome I will definitely stay here again.

We were delighted with our stay at the Bluehostel our double room was perfect for us more of a guesthouse feel to it. On a nice quiet street beside a beautiful church Santa Maria Maggoire well worth a visit and only a 15min walk from the Coloseeum, map provided on arrival. Hop on hop off bus ticket available at green kiosk near church €18 for 2 days.

The hostel was just OK - nothing really exciting, but not bad either. I think the price is a bit high for this kind of property. You can find something very similar for less money. I was hoping that if I pay more, I would get something outstanding, which was not the case.

It is a hidden secret wich is so good , you almost don't want to share it with others but keep it to yourself. The rooms in Blue Hostel have a very personal touch, almost like your visting friends in Rome and stay in their home........

Our room was wonderful! This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, nice, safe & affordable place to stay in Rome. Ercole was very nice and helpful in recommending some really good places to eat at and gave us a map with directions to the sites to see.

Great place for couples to spend nights in Rome; high quality rooms and very clean. Not far from Termini station, the metro or turist attractions. When we arrived the host recommended places to see, eat and some other tips, great service. Recommended.

The hostel was easy to find and was about a 2 minute walk from Termini and a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum. It was spacious and clean. Ercole was fantastic and offered plenty of information around things to do and local places to eat and everything he suggested we thoroughly enjoyed.

We only stayed here for one night but really wish we could of stayed longer! We will be recommeding to everyone! Ercole was so helpful and we really appreciated him meeting us from the train. The room had loads of character and the bathroom and shower were 'hotel' fabulous! As for Rome; everywhere is walking distance, the ice club is well worth the money and the sistine chapel well worth the queue!

All in all it is an incredibly nice hostel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would certainly stay there again if we were ever visiting Rome again!
