I had a great stay here! The staff were so friendly and really got to know everyone staying at the hostel. We spent a lot of time drinking out of the front of the hostel, and its next to lots of bars, cafes, and restaurants which is great for partying. Definitely a great location for Quito. The breakfast included porridge which I (sadly) I looked forward to every day. Massive lockers in the rooms, and well maintained. I think the hostel fosters a great atmosphere for socialising and relaxing.

Nice hostel with wifi, a pool table, and fusball. The private room was an excellent value--it had cable tv with a remote and was decorated with an antique chair and decorative pillows. Average breakfast included (toast, bananas, coffee, and make-your-own oatmeal). The area (where many of the hostels are located) is loud at night from the nearby bar scene.

I stayed at Blue House for several weeks. The staff & Nico the owner were very helpful assisting me with the Ecuadorian red-tape to release a package held up in customs. Very safe - access is controlled by a locked gate. Big lockers in the dorms for your rucksack & security boxes by reception for passport etc... Road outside is patrolled by security firm. Free healthy breakfast or go to Irish pub across road for proper fry-up. German bar nearby has great beer. Bars, food, shops, buses are nearby

The showers were hot, the rooms were clean and the people who stayed there (staff & Travelers) were nice. One night the hostel had a BBQ which was a nice change of pace from going out. I've stayed in a number of hostels and this one is in the top tier. I really only have a good things to say.

It was fine. Nothing exceptional, nothing bad. It was nice to have oats for breakfast as well as bread & jam (no eggs though). If more people were there it looks like it would have been a very social place. They do have a lot of large groups staying but we arrived between groups.

Great location, right in the area of all the places to eat and drink and near to the bus which can take you into the old town for 25cents! Very very helpful staff, decent breakfast included so that was a bonus too! Room was basic, but comfortable enough and had big lockers for your things.

A pretty good place; however reserved for a week and half way though our stay were given an hours notice to leave as a big tour group had taken priority - dissapointing for an apparently independent hostel so we didnt go back.
