DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We stayed one night (of 4) before we realised this HOLE is being used as a half-way house by the local housing authority! We encountered people who were either suffering from or recovering from, alcohol and/or drug dependency. One man, it appeared even had psychological issues as he simply kept rocking back and forth in the foyer! SHOCKING! Complained to the manager about a refund = nothing, I asked to speak to the owner = nothing, complained to Hostelworld = so far, NOTHING!

We were happy about free internet and a lot of computers there. Good stay for one night.

It was very dirty and looked more like a homeless shelter than a backpackers

It would have been much nicer if they had proper in-house rules for the cleanliness of the kitchen. We met many friendly travellers from around the world and it was a nice experience. There was about 10min walk to city centre and Katoomba station and was very convenient.

The room was not really clean, everywhere in the Hostel were sheeds lzing around and a lot of trash. Nobody did care for the bottles and glasses outside, and the kitchen was simply a mess! The bath room upstairs was disgusting, I didnt even want to touch the ground. We were very disappointed by this hostel.

The bathroom was quite far from the room that we were in (a double private) as it was on the other side of the building. However excellent value. Nice clean rooms, awesome common room, well kept kitchen and facilities and free internet and coffee/tea. All in all a great hostel to stay at.

Overall I was satisfied with my stay at this property. I thought the dorms were a nice size and well proportioned. The free internet (even if the staff tended to be on all the computers) and free laundry (even though only 1 worked) was a nice touch. Furthermore the common room with the free pool was nice. I thought the kitchen was really quite dirty most of the time in the evenings. The pile of dishes kept getting larger and I think some sort of surveillence system is needed.

Great launch pad for the Blue Mountains. The hostel itself was good but the room needed cleaning desperately as did the bathroom. The kitchen was a little underequiped as well.

Clean, Quiet, and Friendly, which is all i need in a hostel : ) The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and the free wifi and laundry facilities were HUGELY appericated!! :D My only complaint would have to be about security; while the rooms were key-accessable only, the front doors were ALWAYS open- even late into the night! Other then that, I've never seen a better hostel for the price. If your traveling on a budget but arn't into cockroach sandwiches, this is your place.

Easygoing, friendly staff and very comfortable mattress but the place smelt musty and the common areas were dark and empty. The place needs some love. Our 'twin room' ended up being a bunk room upon arrival, looking nothing like the ones in the photos on the website.

The staff seemed a bit uninterested and I felt like a burden with my questions. Maybe it was because of the hot weather, but the bedding sheets felt a bit moistered. The room I slept in (a 12 person dorm room) was very cold, and the bathroom not very clean. The room was big and light, though, and you get your own locked closet for personal items. There is a nice and big kitchen - I didn't use it myself, but it seemed clean. Breakfast is NOT provided which is a big minus in my opinion.

The Hostel was available for 1 night which suited us (everywhere else has minimum 2 or 3 nights). The place is quite run down and in need of improvement. The availability of internet was very helpful and tv, pool table entertaining.
