Nice, basic hostel with great location. Few comments: Not enough bathrooms on the first floor (I counted two male toilets, with one of them being mysteriously occupied 95% of the time). Bad acoustics in the common room (while the football table might be fun for the two guys playing, it makes an awful lot of noise for the 30 other people in the room). Windows a bit drafty.

Spacious common room and kitchen. Kitchen is really well equipped - there is even a mixer (a bit hidden in a drawer) so you can prepare proper omelette for a breakfast!

A lot of space in the kitchen and communal area. Location close(5minutes) to the train station. Everything looked clean. Not a lot of noise.

It was a low key hostel in a good way. It was nice to break from the activity of the hostel in Sydney and be able to relax up here.

This must be one of the best hostels in Australia. Even though I stayed at 12-dorm, there was heaps of space and everything was so clean and tidy! Also the lockers they provided were big enough to store your valuables. Loved the kitchen! Location also very good if you arrive by train. Nothing bad to say, stay here if you're heading to Blue Mountains! I'll definitely get back some day!

Not only was the Hostel the right place at the right price, staff were very helpful, even opening the kitchen early for the group of us booked for an early morning event. I thought the trains outside the window might keep me up, but all was good - and so close to the centre of Katoomba.

One of the few hostels in Australia that actually feels like a hostel and doesn't seem to be trying to milk you for every dollar. Free WiFi and Laundry are a win. Large communal area, an decent sized kitchen with a covered bbq area outside. Staff were friendly and really helpful with directions for walks and stuff. Beds were clean and comfy. I had the cheapest room, the only downside to which was the noise from the railway.

Helpful staff and awesome kitchen. Top gas stoves, clean kitchen and sharp kitchen knives (very rare in hostels). Staff helped with the planning of hiking trips and was really friendly. Communal area is large and a good place to meet people. Not a party-hostel so you're guaranteed to have a peaceful sleep. Thumbs up!

Great place to stay for a long or short trip to the Blue Mountains. Huge kitchen, big area to sit and chill or watch tv/play pool etc. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on the area and the activities to do. Ended up staying 10 nights, would recommend to anyone :)

It's a bit run down and the room was quite small. There was spider webs and a spider in our room. Because it rained, also one snail came through the open window and was stuck in the window inside the room. which was disgusting. Laundry was free of charge, which was really nice.

I paid for a double room for a quiet experience, but might as well have been in the room next door I could hear every word through the wall and something like a coin being thrown on a dresser though could jot not imagine what it could be. I don't think they were being unreasonably loud, just the walls extraordinarily thin. Other than that, no faults

The internet isextremely slow. Just can't do a thing on the interent in the evening whence most people are on-line. Bearing in mind my stay was in low season with only about 20 people staying in hostel. Can't imgine how slow the internet will be during peak season.

Good hostel. Near train station. You need to walk 20-30 min to get to the beginning of the path to the 3 sisters. Grocery stores are at 4-10 min walk. There were great big lockers in our room. One for each bed. You need to bring a lock. Kitchen is huge. There is a nice fireplace in the common room. You can use the washing and drying machine for free (50 cents if you want laundry soap). I recommand.

Hello! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback! We're so glad you loved our location, our lockers and our kitchen! Not sure what you mean about bringing a lock though. All our lockers are lockable without a padlock and your locker key is attached to your room key. Thanks again for such a fantastic review! Hope to see you again sometime! Happy travels! Kind regards, the team at BMBH

It is good to inform guests about the rules but signs could be little more polite. Quiet and good place.

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. World class kitchen and free clothes washing. Overall a really good place to stay. Tip: stay in an upstairs room.

Staffs were friendly. Clean kitchen and that were enough room in refrigerators. But the door lock didn't work sometime.
