Even though my ratings above were ok, my experience was terrible because the room was hot and there was no air conditioning. The hostel was good, but I was really surprised to find out saturday morning at the visitor centre that there was a total fire ban in the blue mountains that had been issued friday. We told the hostel staff we were going hiking on saturday morning and they never mentioned anything!!! I would expect from a hostel in a national park to advise their tennants about a fire ban or at least have a notice up with the information.
