Really lovely hostel in a spectacular place. Some staff were excellent, others made you feel like the smallest question was a huge effort to answer. Kitchen was excellent, toilets/bathrooms were spotless and the chill out rooms/dining room had aa nice atmosphere. I would highly reccomed this hostel and if you're unlucky enough to get a rude staff member, keep smiling and appreciate how lovely all the others are!
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The hostel is clean, secure and has a great communal atmosphere, we were very satisfied, Thanks!

Wonderful place, best hostel we came across in Australia.
Great hostel, easy to find and quiet. Kitchen is big and clean, but the free food offer isn't very useful and there wasn't always a pen in the kitchen for name tags. I was missing any oil for the pan (I won't carry a hole bottle with me). Very helpful and friendly staff.
Pricey, like all YHAs, and of their routine quality. Blue Mountains YHA is a family-friendly hostel which is secure and safe, but also lacking in atmosphere and character. Hard to recommend when there are such great alternatives in town, including the long-term hostel The Flying Fox, and the friendly, clean, secure (and cheap!) Blue Mountains Backpackers, both of which are closer to the town center.
