Defenitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! You immediately feel at home, and the common room is awesome! Good kitchen, and quiet rooms (thick walls!), and great activities from the hostel! Staff is great and are really helpful. It is a bit expensive, but totally worth it. You'll be seeing me Blue Parrot!!

This is the place to be if you go to Sydney. Great location, good and chrap laundry service, clean rooms, nice livingroom, FREE and fast wifi, nice atmosphere (possibility to party but a good sleep is possible as well) and last but not least: the staff is incredible good.. If i would be a couple of years older i would marry Effie.. She is awesome! Still miss you.. ;) x Koos

Very nice hostel! Staff is exceptionally lovely, especially branco and sasha and Effie, she's a gem! The hostel is very little so you get to know people. Potts point is a charming little part of Sydney! It's close to the harbour and the Botanical gardens. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Especially if you like it small and tight knit :)

The atmosphere was amazing, it was very easy to get to know the other travelers & staff. Every night there is another bar or activity which helps save money and makes it easy to get to know even more people. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Sydney!

Well-located, it is easy getting to most of the major things to see in the city from this hostel. The rooms were comfortable though the place can be a bit noisy at night. Sasha was incredibly helpful at the desk- probably one of the best desk staff I've ever met on my travels. Thanks!

The staff was very very friendly and helped me so much on all things I want to know. The hostel is a really sweet smal one located on one of the main streets of Kings Cross. Great Place. I defently go there again if I go to Sydney.

The staff were great and very accommodating they ensured we had something to do each night and took us out for a great $12 steak at The Sugarmill which was followed by Quiz night which we almost won. The crew then took us for several rounds of karaoke at O'Malley's Hotel. I left some items in my room and emailed them and Effie was kind enough to find the items and store them for a week until my friend could collect them. I can't say enough nice things about the location and the staff.

2nd time staying here and again can't fault the place. Great location for both chilling out or partying, great staff and the other guests are there for the same reason - because Blue Parrot is the place to stay in Sydney

Blue Parrot was one of my favorite hostels. Everyone staying there was really friendly and interested in hanging out. Perfect for a female solo traveler. The only negative was the shower was connected to the toilet, so in the mornings when there is a line for the shower, you can't access a toilet unless you go down to the first floor. Otherwise, staff was incredibly friendly. Location is great for walking all over the CBD. Great atmosphere! Would stay again!

Great hostel! The staff is super friendly and always hanging out in the common areas and free to talk to about fun stuff to do in the area. Atmosphere is super relaxed but there is alway a group willing to go down the street and party. O yeah, the craziest party scene if ever experienced is right oh the front door. They deep clean the place every morning, couldn't be happier ... Stay here.

Recommend this hostel. Not big as most of the hostels in Australia make it more friendly

I had an excellent stay here and as a female travelling alone I felt very comfortable and safe in this friendly hostel. From my experience you get what you pay for and I found the Blue Parrot was good value for money – free internet, very clean, nice facilities and you can get a good night's rest. I will definitely return when I'm back in Sydney :-)

Absolutely wicked hostel experience. It feels like a home I can come back to in Sydney. Great people, great staff (Branco & Olie) with both a comfy and outgoing atmosphere! I will definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!

I stayed at the Blue Parrot as a solo traveller while in Sydney and could not have booked a better hostel! I stayed in many hostels during my trip so far in Australia and this hostel was my favourite by far. The staff was amazing upon arrival and extremely friendly throughout my entire stay. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were all really clean which made for easy living. One of the most convenient things about the Blue Parrot was the free wifi! If I'm ever back I will book here again!

the hostel is located on the party central and the whole hostel organises night outs every night. so for the partygoers, it is the best place to stay in. however, for those who wants nice quiet sleep, it can be disturbing because people come back at night drunk and make noises. the staff was very friendly and that is the best thing here. as for security, they seem to have the same room keys to all the rooms and one time, a guy came in to our female ensuite room by mistake.
