From our early check in to our check out everyone was very welcoming - thanks so much for the extra efforts, a sarny when we arrived in late, starving and for accommodating our late rise with a wonderful cooked breakfast. Hope to see you again.

Porthtowan is beautiful! First visit here and will definitely be back in the summer. My room was clean an comfortable, and the showers were fine too. The food at the unicorn was lovely, was good to be able to have a meal and pint or two after a long walk along the cliffs. The staff were very helpful and kind and made me feel welcome. Can't complain!!!

Fantastic if you want beach and surfing. The bus to Truro and Redruth are right on your doorstep and fairly regular. so location is good if you want to get to town without much walking but last bus leaves for Porthtowan 17.45. Staff are helpful and very friendly. I had the room to myself so was great. The kitchen, dinning & T.V room, showers and toilets were all right there so no up and down stairs. Worth its money. Would go again. Met some wonderful people.

Nice relaxed hostel. It's attached to pub which is nice and is pretty much right on the beach. Staff are friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The kitchen is also well equipped.

Manager of the hostel - Molly - I believe not particularly welcoming and rather indifferent. Internet didn't work (had to use the internet from pub)- shld have been notified of this on my arrival. Heating either too hot or not on at all. Rooms hadn't been cleaned, kitchen filthy. She needs to pull her socks up and not be so lazy especially as she's running this place for her parents.
