Worst hostel we have ever been too!!We had a double room without a fen or air condition, very dirty carpet that hasn't been vacuumed for days...the bathroom and kithen were also very dirty and disgusting, we didn't eat at the hostel once because everything ( the tables, the fridge, dishes, stoven, sink ) was dirty. We do not recommend this hostel at all!!

The hostel was dirty and a big mess. There were 2 toilets on the ground floor, both completely dirty&the shower was broken. There was only 1 toilet on the 1 level however it was more clean. The room was dirty too&the linen had a bad smell. The window in our room was broken, too,so that anyone could have opened the door from the outside. When we wanted to check out the guy from the reception slept (9 am)&when we wanted to crab our luggage at noon he wasn't awake either...I RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS HOSTEL

First impression, old character but equipped with basic amenities. Good location, friendly staffs and other travellers. It would be good to have a touch-up in terms of building paint and cleanliness maintenance to bring BlueTongue to another level.

We stayed in a private room and it was spacey, but needed a good cleaning. Staff is friendly and helpful, but parties in the backyard were soo loud that we couldn't sleep.

Disgusting place and disgusting staff, please don't choose this place if you want your stay in Brisbane to be satisfactory. Dirty, noisy, tiny kitchen, unfriendly and unhelpful staff... awful.

It was my second time I stayed there, but these time the cleanliness was poor. :-( Also the dorm was very bad (messi and very bad air, although the windows was opened the whole day, but thats the problem in a 6 men room, I think. Theres no air condition, but will take it again, if I am back in Brisbane.

It was a great hostel, I enjoyed it. The ppl there was very nice and it was also very funny, but there is no locker or something to lock your things. The rooms are locked and we dont miss anything, but you often have a better feeling when you can lock your things. But if I am back in Brisbane, I will book it again. I arrived very early in the morning and I could still check in and when I got a ticket, they also could tell me where to go...

Nice place to stay, the staff there are lovely. There are lots of long termers but they made you feel very welcome. There are a lovely family of possums which made our stay with them, they are very cute. The hostel is close to the Valley which has lots of pubs and shops. Its about a 20 min walk into the city centre. The walk has a lovely view. The only gripe we have is that there is only one bathroom on the top floor but there are more downstairs. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks guys

Fairly quite hostel, has all the facilities though and good location. A cheap and comfortable-ish place to stay. Possums are part of the family though in the kitchen at night.

This is a nice enough hostel and i have stayed here several times. On my last stay however i was in the 4 bed dorm room right next to brunswick street on a busy night. I found it next to impossible to get any sleep with the traffic noise and all the drunks walking past 'til all hours of the morning.

Its a great place to stay. The people in this Hostel are just amazing. Its ten minutes walk to the city center and the best Bars in town. Its one minute walk to have an amazing view over Story Bridge and the Skyline. Would recommend this Hostel to anyone who wants to have a layed back and fun time.

A nice, small hostel in Fortitude Valley not far from all the clubs, bars and restaurants. Hostel was very clean and was made to feel very welcome immediately. Very chilled out with lots of 'long termers' giving it a relaxed air, not a party hostel. I think that room 5 does need to be sorted out though (curtains would help!), but it does mean that you're up nice and early to explore Brisbane!!
