Blue is a hostel situated in a great location. Calle Ample is 10 mins stroll from the beach and mins away from La Rambla. Hostels in Barcelona aren't the best in general so Blue was just as I expected - no windows in the rooms, no socialising atmosphere, no breakfast and acceptable shower. Our room was super small and we could hear out neighbors clearly however it dint affect the stay too much as we were out most of the time.

It's an excellent hostel to stay for a couple of days. The kitchen had all the equipment and even had oils and spices and salt for the hosts to use. The location is great, very near ramblas and the beach. The staff was always very nice.

It was a great location and very cheap but we were very cold on our first night. There was no kitchen facility. The bathroom was very smelly and decor very shabby. When we were leaving there were no staff around at all to give the key back to. Not sure we would stay there again. IT has the potential to be lovely if it is done up a bit but not at the moment. Shame we didn't really see anyone else staying there either but the walls were very thin and it was quite noisy .

Nice hostel , appartement character. Rooms are ok but I spotted a bit mildew at the wall corners and at the closet but acceptable for a couple days stay. Bathrooms are clean and it's very calm, so no party hostel at all! Reception is not 24 hours, towels you can get there. All in all, I would stay there again!

It really is a very central place to stay, everything within walking distance. Wooden entrance door and staircase look really nice. In the building live several people that seemed very annoyed by the travellers staying in the hostel. When I arrived I was yelled at by some guy who apparently lived in the apartment next door. Not a very pleasant welcome. My single room reminded me more of a cell. No windows and next to common room and shared bathrooms. Very noisy. Doorock didn't look promising.

That was not my first stay there so I can compare to my past visits. Definitely the location is perfect and this doesn not change:)! However it cannot be said about the atmospere and character of the place. In the past the owners had only one apartment to look after so it was nice and friendly. Now, Blue is a set of apartmanets on different floors. Hardly ever you see someone from the staff. Revamp and painting is needed.

Great location and very nice staff! Only a couple of minutes away from Drassanes station and the Rambla this is the perfect place to spend your vacation in Barcelona. Almost feels like having your own apartment. Rooms are a bit small but the kitchen and the common room are great to hang out.

Very good location, although the rooms next to the street can be pretty noisy at night due to the people outside and in the bars below especially over the weekend. Staff was friendly and the proximity to the city center is a big point for the hostel...everything in walking-distance. At your arrival be aware that there is no big sign hanging in the street which is saying "Hostel". It's just a gigantic wooden door and the reception is in the 2nd floor right across the stairs.

The location is great, room are nice and comfortable. The hostel is in fact a bunch of flat in a building it was pretty hard to find the reception, not to mention the receptionist ..... Otherwise a great stay there, good value for money plenty of nice local restaurant and cafe nearby...... Would stay there again...

The hostel was good, it felt like a big appartment which gave it a nice atmosphere. However, it was quite noisy at night, because the walls were very thin, and people tended to spend the evening drinking in the living room, which everyone could hear. Otherwise, very good stay.

Nice hostel. Good value for money. We had some extra heating which was nice in winter. I recommend this hostel to everybody.

Our stay was good, but I was very disappointed when I realized some of the staff people entered our room to get blankets from the closet when we were told they would be available for us. I think you should have just left a notice letting us know about when, so we would read it when we got back from our city strall. After this day we could not trust staff anymore and put our own lock at the door. A rude building neighbour yelled at us while we were waiting in front of the building for a cab.

Nothing fancy or extra but perfect for just sleeping at the end of the day. Location is great! And the place was quite clean (and quiet, nothing for party people). The location is so close to Las Ramblas and the beuatiful Marina area Port Vell. Lots of places nearby to go eat as well. The rooms are just locked by a small pad lock and the staff is not always around, so security loses some points but it never felt unsafe. All in all, definately value for money!

Look no further if you're looking for an very affordable friendly place to stay right in the centre of Barcelona. Recommended! ps: read the instructions on your hostel voucher, It's difficult to recognize the place as being a hostel.

According to the price, I had a private room and It was quiet and cozy. A bit cold over nights but otherwise I prefer it more than normal crowded hostels.

Our entire stay at Blue was horrible. We were sent to 3 different apartments on our search for towels (which were finally given to us by a woman who told us she didn´t work there). The woman in what appeared to be the main apartment was incredibly rude and told us to leave her alone because she was eating and didn´t work there (despite showing other guests to rooms in our apartment 5 minutes later). There was no heat and no hot water.

Window was totally broken . Wind got in the roow whole time. So it was too freezing to stay at room. And we coudnt use wifi in the room somehow . If its winter season, its hard to stay without heating .
