put a sign on the door of the reception that this is the reception put a sign on the bell downstairs where to ring have a welcoming word to your guests and ask them if everything was OK when they leave, have a smile for your guests put stronger locks on the doors of the private rooms, they are poor give the rooms some atmosphere, the walls you build in look very ugly the bedsheets where clean but the thicker blanket was just thrown in the shelf and was messy and probably not clean
Good hostel with nice staff, but there is a lot broken! Fridge gives electrical shocks, loose tiles, no wifi on room, lot of lights not working.

The bed was very uncomfortable, very bumpy, otherwise the location was great. warning, there is no lift, my room was on the third floor and there are a lot of stairs.
i hate to give good reviews. because next time i wanna go there it's fully booked then. nice helpfull staff and i had i really nice room with a balcony in old but renovated building. make sure you write down the full adress. theres no sign or anything.
We enjoyed our trip to Barcelona a lot! The only thing that spoiled our mood, were the bed bugs in our room. So we didn't get a lot of sleep because we were busy with scratching ourselves. Otherwise we can recommend the Blue, because the location is great and the staff is nice.
I stayed here last summer and it was amazing, I stayed here again this year and it was average, the door locked with a tiny padlock, our room was pretty small with a tiny window. Location is amazing and it's not a party hostel which is nice :)
Second time staying here. Great if you're looking for just some alone time instead of a constant party. Great location between beach and Rambla. It is down a darker street, but it always has a lot of people on it, so it doesn't feel unsafe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only thing is they took signage down and it's hard to find once in the building. Luckily I had been before and knew my way.
In two words bed bugs. If I posted the pictures of my hands and legs with fifty bites in my hands you will get it. Spending my vacation on anti histaminic and applying cortisone and still bring with a severe rash. Not to mention the fear of bringing it home. Seeing the blood spots on my sheets. I was terrorized. I am not the type to write long reviews and this is my first one. But in general if you can afford a clean hotel may be in is safer in Barcelona to book a hotel.

Very nice hostel in a good location!the girl at the front desk was really nice and helpfull!
It was extremly loud until the wee hours of the morning. The Wifi only worked in te lobby *a 10 foot area. The rooms were dirty and extremlyhot. I would never go back! Gross!
Really cool hostel with an alice in wonderland feel to it. The staff was helpful, the bathrooms were nice, a little far from the subway, but still right in the heart of town. Overall good experience!
Been here twice already, double rooms. Very close to the center without being noisy. Comfortable and clean rooms. Doesn't seem like the best place to socialize and make friends, then again, I wasn't there for that. Only problem may be the stairs. Last thing you want after walking all day in Barcelona is to climb stairs.
