The Hostel is actually located in Hengchung which is about 8km from Kenting. But you can rent scooters which I highly recommend. The bathroom and showers are in the basement which is annoying, but they are relatively clean. The free breakfast and the staff are great. They provide maps and bus routes and will tell you what to see/do. Stay here if you don't mind a little scooter ride to Kenting.

The room we booked was 8-beds room,it seems no one live in it for long time, as the smell is somewhat mouldy, but the room is clean. The room fee included breafast, so the price is good. The place is convenience, bus station is nearby.
Our experience at BlueHi Hostel was great, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful when we needed directions to get around. We went in way before the check in time and left our bags there while we went to explore Kenting :) We had the 6 beds mixed dorm all to ourselves and it was surprisingly clean and comes with a shared bathroom within. However, the mattresses were super thin and uncomfortable, but its not a major concern if you're just staying for a night :>

The first square meter after I entered my room was dirty as hell, because not all the water would be cleaned up after cleaning the room. It smelled really bad.
Nice buffet for breakfast. The bathroom is downstair..you need to walk quite far to get there.
I definitely think there any many nicer and better valued hostels in the area. The beds at BlueHi were some of the hardest I've slept on. The atmosphere of the place was fairly average but in its defense they did seem to offer a lot of tours that did not appear available at the time of my stay (due to the weather) bathroom and shows are a hassle to get to from the bedrooms and the constant noise from the patrons of the (hotel) next to it kills it, Recommendation, stay somewhere else if you can.

+Staff friendly, ac working in dorm, all over clean, breakfast ok, dont expect much english, but from the owner -toiletts and showers >100years old? Shower was flooded after several days of rainy weather, superslim mattress (my back hurts after 1 night), superpacked dorm, beds only 180cm long (iam 193cm....) =overpriced but clean, good for layover, i dont say avoid this place, but u find for sure other places not listed on hostelworld that are cheaper and better, espacially homestays
Unfortunatly this hostel is far away from the beach. There is a bus which takes you too the beaches but it takes some time and is really anoying. The staff is nice but not always there and cant speak good english. So they cant help you to get around or planning your next trip. I would not recommend this hostel if you have not any opportunity to get around without using the bus. Bike and scooter rent avaiable. Washing room is ok. The rooms are really full with stock beds. You lay next to another.
A great place with nice and warm receptionist! And quite convenient, but now very clean. But worth the price! I will go to this place again and may stay here for another time.
The bathroom was more clean it will be better
Breakfast is excellent! The dorm is a bit crowded but it was ok for me. The problem is the bathroom downstairs. Not very clean... The staff was great and helpful. I was happy staying there.
the room is small n too dim that u cant reli see clearly at night the worse thing is that the toilet is so far away from the room that u hv to pass by the lobby to get to it n the toilet is dirty with many flies and even cockcroaches but the staff r nice n helpful anyways
The breakfast service is really nice, it is the best part of this hostel. However the dorm room is too crowded, air conditioning is not enough and it is not 24 hr functioning. The bathroom's location and cleanliness is another problem.
Place was a little difficult to locate because there are no obvious signs to the hostel other than the address and general directions stated here. Past that, convenience shops are available nearby. Scooter and E-bike shops are within 10 mins walk. Stayed in a single private room. Really liked the minimal yet essential room setting. Walls are however too thin and talking in rooms next door and corridor can be heard.
The location is great which is almost at the center of HengChun. The bike rental is a bit expensive though. Overall, it's not bad.
I stayed in the male dorm. The hostel itself was ok. It is a bit far from Kenting, it's about 20 mins of scooter ride away. The lady working there is very very friendly and talkative. The boss is also very friendly, but a bit less friendly than the lady. There's also free breakfast, which includes a toast, a congee, and some side dishes.
It was terrible that found two cockroaches while bathing.
The hostel is good enough, with good facilities and rooms (although the beds are indeed terrible: noisy and very thin mattresses). Good value for money, considering also that they are one of the few that offers a fair free breakfast. Since they are located in the middle of a town, away from the beach and every other nice place in Kenting, it is a good deal to rent a scooter there for NT600. Or if you wanna spend the whole day in only one or two places, it's easy to catch a bus (30/50 one way)
