Riom 3: shower wand holder was not secure and would not hold the wand, need individual shelf space for each bunk, need more electrical power points in the rooms Need some coat hooks and towel hooks in the bathrooms, need reading lights in each bunk

Dear Sir, thank you for the excellent score given. In our opinion, Mr is confusing a hostel with a hotel on your next stay in Portugal we recommend the five-star Ritz Hotel in Lisbon, certainly will find everything you did not find at the Blue Moon Hostel. Since now our thanks for your stay. José Freitas

Loved my stay here, well situated and incredibly clean hostel. Had a nice chilled out atmosphere which was good although people did still go out if you wanted to party. Friendly staff too! Only minor annoyances were the intermittent wifi which I couldn't get in my room and lack of plug sockets for charging phones. Is about a 10-20 minute walk to some of the nicer beaches but is in the centre of old town. That being said bring ear plugs as there is a lot of street noise!

Located in a town centre which could be considered as advantage if not a very loud music and people passing by until the early hrs every day. No aircon in the rooms, no breakfast, you need to rent literally everything including reading lamp. They would even charge you for €0.50 to print anything for you, not a very good value for money overall.

The hostel is super nice! You have a relaxed atmosphere! No party hostel :) When you're coming home late the security man is a little bit strange... You can't go topless outside your room.

No aircon would make the room quite unbearable in the hot summer months! You can't leave the doors open at night for fresh air due to noise from street below till very late at night!

Overall, the hostel was very enjoyable. I came for a relaxing weekend at the beach so I was not worrying about partying. Location was great, but almost all of Lagos is walkable so everywhere you end up should be good. The front desk staff was very, very kind and helpful. She showed me around map of the area and told me all about the amazing trails along the beaches. The bathrooms and bedrooms were also very clean. I would for sure recommend this hostel to a friend!

My girlfriends and I had a pretty good stay here. Nights were loud (from street noise) and hot but our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Location was great! Nice and close to everything including the beaches. However hostel is in between a restaurant and the front door is typically open so security could have been better to ensure randoms aren't coming in.

It's definately a quieter hostel but in an excellent area of town. Very close to the beaches and activities. Only standing fans in the room- in the summer the rooms can get very hot. Also not much space to store bags (stayed in an 8 bed dorm) but if you need somewhere quiet and close to everything it does the job.

I didn't spend much time hanging out in this hostel, because my friends were staying at another place. They were very serious about not letting them walk inside past reception even in the middle of the day. The terrace is huge and the kitchen is good too. The wifi was terrible and you pretty much had to sit right next to the router to use it at all. No aircon, so the room was either bright and loud at night, or too hot if you close the windows. Seemed like a sociable place.
