We were only here for one night, but it was everything we needed for that. The location was fantastic, everything else was acceptable. There were a lot of stairs. The layout of Bob's could have been much more efficient. We checked in around breakfast time which the breakfast counter and the check in desk are basically the same so it was really hard to check in since there was no space to move. The beds were super comfortable. We reserved an 8 person room online but got a 16 person room once we arrived which worked out fine. Some of the staff seemed unorganized and were really slow. Very fun! The staff is very friendly and its walking distance from the main part of town. Its usually OK to smoke in the lobby too, but only between noon and midnight.Very fun! Very nice staff and I love havin breakfast and a puff in the main hostel room. It\'s cozy and well located, the prices are cheap in the autumn and I had a nice time overall. However : there are mice in your kitchen, our window was broken and it rained, our bathroom door was locked every morning from the other side (our bathroom was shared with another 6-bed dorm). My locker was broken so my stuff was easy to steal... Thanks and will be visiting again soon.Very nice staff and I love havin breakfast and a puff in the main hostel room. I was very happy at Bob's! It's not extremely central, but it's very close to the train station and there's also a tram stop right in front of the place if you don't want to walk. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast is extremely basic, but it's still nice before you go out for a real breakfast, haha. This is a hostel I will be happy to return to. I was very happy at Bob's! My friend and I were two girls traveling in Amsterdam and somehow found the only male hostel in the Netherlands. There were most likely four other girls in the entire hostel. We felt extremely out of place in the smoke filled basement/lobby stuffed with stoned boys. We also felt uncomfortable with mice on the floor. We were safe, however, in our room b/c it was at the very top of the Mt. Everest of stairs, and no matter how dirty it was, they could not make it up there. Comfy beds in great location. Breakfast included was ok. lame guests, stoners who are wasting their time smoking in amsterdam. Of course that should be part of the experience.... but there is more to see in that wonderful city than the legalized substances and legalized prostitution. Looks like they don't adhere to the under 30 rule very closely, I was kind of disappointed. Very few girls, so walking through the lounge felt like a den of wolves. The beds were nice but appeared they hadn't been cleaned or made for a while. WiFi wasn't working. Fairly decent place but I wouldn't stay there again.
