I was very happy at Bob's! It's not extremely central, but it's very close to the train station and there's also a tram stop right in front of the place if you don't want to walk. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast is extremely basic, but it's still nice before you go out for a real breakfast, haha. This is a hostel I will be happy to return to. I was very happy at Bob's! Comfy beds in great location. Breakfast included was ok. Only thing i disliked (that others may like) was that the common area was also for smoking weed, and was a hazy little room from pretty much breakfast onwardsComfy beds in great location. lame guests, stoners who are wasting their time smoking in amsterdam. Of course that should be part of the experience.... but there is more to see in that wonderful city than the legalized substances and legalized prostitution. Looks like they don't adhere to the under 30 rule very closely, I was kind of disappointed. Very few girls, so walking through the lounge felt like a den of wolves. The beds were nice but appeared they hadn't been cleaned or made for a while. WiFi wasn't working. Fairly decent place but I wouldn't stay there again. Greeted with a HUGE cloud of marijuana smoke on arrival so if that's what you're in Amsterdam for this is the perfect hostel. There was no hot water in the shower. Either they should fix that, or warn the customers. Also, it seems stupid that the people staying in the hostel arenīt allowed to smoke all the time in the lobby. Bob\'s is your typical amsterdam hippy central, but hey, thats why you came to amsterdam right.... It in a perfect location, just 2 mins walk to Dam square, plenty of surrounding coffee shops to venture around aswell.... Top spot, top people!!
