We stayed for 3 nights and everyone was great, it was a really easy check in and a great atmosphere in the hostel!! Easily the cheapest drink prices around and the best value for money, I would definitley go back!!!

Value for money although the computer is not working

WET BEDS AND MICE INFESTATION-BOLD, AGGRESSIVE MICE!

bobs is cooooooool, good place to stay if you are using a hostel in amsterdam hum no i take that back the best place =))

Pros: Cool people to be found, artistic rooms, nice chill area, free breakfast, shower was super nice Cons: RATS, weird smelling rooms, front desk guy was grumpy always, dangerous stairs

Only stayed one night but was brilliant, will definitely recommend to our friends! Thanks xxx

we stayed in teh 4 bed appartment as there wasn't much difference in cost to normal dorm rooms - would recommend it to anyone if you have a few quid to spare - very worth it!

you should know that they dont tell you that you have to pay ten euro for a room key deposit and another ten if you want a locker key. I had to catch a flight before reception opened so in order to get my deposit back they make u give it back the night before and then they take you to your room but if you want to come back down they get PISSED and tell you you need to stay in your room.Its dirty, staff are often rude, and you wont get much sleep. Its cheap so...weigh your options I guess

On the first night, I was not able to sleep because I was kept awake by the sound of mice under my bed, eating the crumbs and chips that were scattered around the floor. Luckily, the room was cleaned every morning afterwards and I did not see the mice for the rest of my stay, but the first night was quite traumatizing.

The staff and the hall are horrible, and the place are disgusting, the breakfast is dangerous dirty... Horrible! And you can't use your head lock, you should give them 20 euros for deposit for a key!!! Never come back besides the good location...

Great common room and location, great fun

The staff was really friendly and the location was great. very chill and laid back environment. my only complaint was that the breakfast wasn't that great...but what can you really expect from a hostel? also, it was annoying that there was not towel rack in the bathroom. besides that, it was great!

This was, without a single shadow of a doubt, the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. There were blood smears on the inside of the front door, the room was an ungodly hellhole - as we arrived there were 20 or 30 people stoned out of their skulls, draped across the room in a pile of human detritus. The manager told them to put out their joints and get off our beds, but they just lit up again with impunity. I have never before been woken up by the smell of cannabis and body odour.

I never slept better in Amsterdam. These beds are made for dreaming.

This is a basic hostel with basic facilities. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean though considering the number of people using them. The staff were very helpful and the location was great. The value for money was not great, but this is Amsterdam and hostels are renowned for being expensive, especially over the weekend.

Terrible! the worst hostel Ive ever stayed in. 2 nights and not rest at all. lot mice in d room! We could hear scratching, nibble n mouse's noise all night long. we could see mice running around and under the bed! I was freaked out! the rough staff was told but they said its normal in Amsterdam! shower disgusting and extremely small and we got extreme hot water or freezing cold otherwise, Some of ours belongings were stollen. Breakfast very dirty and poor! Location is good although.

On my first day I saw a mouse in the kitchen, and my friends saw two in our room. The toilet was disgusting!

Bob's Youth Hostel has a fantastic location, and I loved the atmosphere inside. The place may look messy, but it is actually relatively clean which is nice. The only downfall is that in my 16 person room there were two showers with sinks in each, and it sucked. The floor would be soaking wet when you wanted to just brush your teeth and take out your contacts. Very annoying. All in all though, I'd recommend this place. Don't depend on the free breakfast by the way. It's just toast and an egg.
