Service with a smile from the staff at the bar/restaurant wouldn't go a miss, serving you seems to be a chore for them. Private room was really nice. Good location on the island.

had a great stay,10 min walk through the jungle to Red Frog Beach. When you get dropped off by the boat it is a 15 min walk up hill so be warned if you have alot of supplies,we managed to get a lift on a golf cart . The staff let the place down, they never seemed happy and if you asked for something it was like we asking for something major. The kitchen need more equipment 2 pans and 2 frying pans is not enough.

A great hostel at a great price! The dorms were very clean and multiple showers and toilets in the dorms. The air conditioning was always on and always cool which was a nice change from other hostels. I only wish we could've stayed longer!

Great hostel if you want a relaxing vacation, If you want to party, you better stay on Colon Island instead, or you will have to pay a lot of water taxis. It´s only a matter of preferences. I would suggest staying there one or two nights of your trip to Bocas del Toro, unless you don´t want to move a lot or travel to the rest of the islands.

The kitchen was horribly small and lacking utensils. It was a struggle to compete with other guests to cook meals though we had come prepared with lots of food. Also, they don't take credit cards at their restaurant so bring lots of cash if you don't plan on cooking for yourself. I'd also pay for the stay in cash because they don't offer refunds on credit cards. If you are going to Bocas I'd recommend splitting your stay on Bastimentos Island and Colon Island.

Some of the pillows had a mildewy smell and colour to them. Most of the staff were lovely but there was one indifferent waitresses working at the bar/restaurant. The comunal kitchen was not very well equipped. Only one large knife for chopping so only one person could cook at a time and no bowls. It was also always full of ants which was particularly bad in the food storage box and on the cooking surfaces. The location as the beaches was great and I loved the comunal area with the games etc

This hostel is Good if you come well prepared, if you don't get ready to spend a lot of money. $1.50 for a Panama beer that you can buy on the mainland for .50 cents, $6.75 for a burger and fries, etc... If I could do it again, I would stay at this hostel for one night and bring all the necessities, because you can't buy anything on the island. Also, Backpackers note that rooms 101 and 105 have hot showers, since they don't have the courtesy to give it to the dorm rooms.

Bocas Bound is a 5 min walk to red frog beach. Make sure to stock up on alcohol, food etc from the main island, as once here, things are expensive. Dorms are air conditioned with no ability to shut off. If you get a bed next to the air conditioner, make sure to dress warm. Cheers,
