Ben the owner is legit. Great host that wants all of his visitors to only have an amazing experience of bangkok. Although never went out to enjoy the nightlife looked like people had a great time and never was disturbed by noise. Ben also was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of Southeast Asia. Will definitely be coming back when traveling through bangkok.

Great hostel, good atmosphere, helpful staff, very clean. Location is a little far from the main street but gives u a good nights rest. I would definitely stay here again. Has a kitchen which is a plus and the food is good and decent pricing.

Stayed here twice and each time extended my stay... and will probably be back soon. Ben and Daniel do a great job running Bodega, making sure its always comfortable, clean, friendly, social, helpful and fun. Location is in the heart of Sukhumvit which is an amazing area filled with bars, restaurants, clubs, markets, malls, and everything else you could imagine. I fell in love with Bangkok and a huge part of that had to do with staying at Bodega and the people I met there.

Awesomee place, great set up. Indoor/outdoor bar. Good location near the MRT and BTS. The sukhumvit area is a little too western for me but it's good. The owners are fantastic, great guys that will help you out anyway they can. They gave me awesome recommendations and helped me out when I had problems. The people passing through are cool, from all over the world and easy to tag along to someone's exploring and/or partying. Occasionally a drinking game breaks out with everyone. Fun times!

Hey Pat, thanks for staying. Just wanted to point out so you're aware, it's low season in Thailand. The country is also still under martial law so it's even slower. We ended Sept 73% ahead of city bookings, so you can imagine how quiet the rest of bkk is! And in low season it's also a bit cyclical. You stayed on wed, we were half full, on friday when u left, we were fully booked. Sorry you were here on a slow day but honestly you shouldn't hold seasonality against us when reviewing. Cheers

Awesome experience at the bodega. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable with individual lockers. The bathrooms were all updated and clean. The staff was super helpful and a lot of fun.. they gave great suggestions and spoke English. I would definitely come back to the bodega.

Nice hostel, full of nice people. Guys in there are very helpful, also. The place invites you to interact with other travelers. Facilities are nice enough and is overall very clean. If you pay with credit card, know that they'll charge you an extra 4.5% fee. No big deal about the "real Bangkok": its just a somewhat boring neighbourhood to walk around during daylight. Nightlife, on the other hand... Final comment, this place has a good atmosphere and is - almost - a party hostel.

Dear Customer, it's Ben, the owner of Bodega. Sorry the card fee took you by surprise. It's posted at check in and we tell you before we charge. It's the bank fee, not ours, and in your case was only 60 cents. As to the "real bkk"- yes our little street is quiet, you need to walk 5 min out and bam you're in BKK city center. You see everything, markets, food, vendors, malls, bars, life! Thais actually live and work here, it's not a show for tourists with silly hats & 15 KFC n McD haha Cheers bro

Heys guys! Thanks for a good last night. You were really friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Bodega was recommended to me and I see why. If you stay anywhere in Bangkok come here first and see how you feel. You'll end up booking many more nights. The collection of art and the art on the walls of the building are awesome. Thanks for the tour! They treat their guests like family and have a very trusting relationship. They're quite a new hostel so be wise but I had a great last night :)

I stayed 5 nights in Bodega and I gotta say the staff and accommodations are great. The location is central to Bangkok and transportation around the city is easily accessible. Your just a couple blocks away from the sky train and metro so getting around is very convenient. Local thai food is also close by if you want to get that experience. The clubs are bars are just around the corner if you want to go out and check out the night life. The main reason you would come back is the staff.

Bodega is awesome! This was my second time staying here, and my experience was amazing once again. Ben and Daniel (and the little cat Mustard) are great and very helpful with any enquiries you might have. Definitely check Bodega out!
