the room is very nice and clean but the most important thing to you when staying in Hanoi is to look out for pick pocket problem in night market the snatch thieft has cut the of my friend and took away $100 in cash and luckily the staff in hotel helped me to log a police report and make procedure so that I can claim the insurance money when I get back my hometown. Good hostel overall.

We stayed at Bodega for almost a week and loved the friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. We cant think of a single thing wrong with the hostel.

The staff at this hotel really made the place. They are so friendly and ready to help and while i had read some reports that they try to sell you tours all the time, this was not my experience at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Rooms of a good standard, service of an excellent standard.

Highlight was definitely the incredibly helpful and attentive staff. They helped me with bookings to Sapa and Halong Bay and took care of everything I needed during my time there. Also the free breakfast was better than most SE Asian hostels. Only real complaint was the lack of ventilation in my room caused bathroom smells to linger. Request a room with a window.

I had a really great time at the Bodega Hotel in Hanoi. The dorm room is spaceious and good value for the money (6$). But the best thing about the Hotel is the staff, friendly, honest and they really do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I will definitely stay here again. chris

I loved this place. Lovely staff so so helpful and the people I met in the dorm were so nice. I felt safe and it's central to everything oh and cheap! Thank you so much and I will be referring this place to my friends. Fiona

The hostel is centrally located in the Old District and close to the shuttle bus offered by Vietnam Airlines ( you do not need to be the passenger of this airline). It offers free shuttle bus service if you come from the train station or bus terminus. It provides airport private car service from the airport at a price ( 32 kilometres for $18, same or less than taxi drivers); one may as well use it as you are very likely to be ripped off, overcharged or robbed ( many lost items put in the trunk)

I found the dorm quite small with not a lot of room to leave our luggage. The bathroom deserves a bit of refurnishing. I would love to have power sockets nearer the beds, especially on the upper deck, and perhaps personal reading lamps. Otherwise, the hostel has all the basic necessities for the backpacker.

Thank you for your friendly welcome and advice for exploring the city. We really appreciated that you offered us water at every occasion and helped us carry our luggage. When we entered our room it was a bit smelly and lots of mosquitos we had to kill. Also there was some water pipe always leaking in the bathroom. Our room was noisy with steady tapping from the ceiling.

the hotel has been just done renovation and the room I stayed was nice but a little bit smell of painting work. Despite the minor defects above I still love staying in this hostel because of the most friendly and honest staff in the world.

Although there were some issues when we checked in which meant we spent a night in their other hostel over the road (which wasn't as nice), and we were given a twin room instead of a double, the staff were so nice, it wasn't an issue. The staff definitely make this place - so so helpful and friendly, we were able to book trips and bus travel with them too. The rooms were nice enough, better than average, but it's the service and the people that made us enjoy our stay here so much.

Soooo nice, the staff were really sweet and went out if their way to open our doors, toast our toast (good breakfast for free!), say good morning and be friendly and welcoming.

Location was great but the overall atmosphere was horrible. There was no social area and the "restaurant" was tiny. The walls are paper thing so I was kept awake by every one and every thing in the hotel. I could even hear the person snoring in the next room!
