Good hotel. The staff was very kind. The location is just perfect, near the old quarter. So YES, I recommend it :)

+New management as David Sinh said. everything gone smoothly, staff friendly welcomed me with a glass of Hanoi beer
Stayed for three nights with them do some tour like Halong bay VIP one day only 32USD,other person same boat 35 USD.
- Lock in Dorm need to repair,bit noisy from thousands motobikes but everywhere same in Hanoi

I booked 1 day but stayed 2 days.They arranged Halong bay trip and Sapa for me with very good price and service.I will come back and recommend this budget hostel to my friends and family.

Bit boring as a backpacker but depends what you're looking for.more fun stay at the nearby backpackers hostel. central location and helpful staff but by no account let them help you book a tour or onward travel with them - both are dire and expensive for what they are - go and find one of the tourist information or travel desks inse\tead, or again backpackers to get your moneys worth.
