I loved the Bohol Guest House! Be warned though, if you enjoy luxuries like hot showers and toilet seats this may not be the place for you. But if you want to experience a slice of jungle and the friendliest people ever, stay here, you will love it too.

The location is great; it's right on the river in a very rural locale. They also have a great shared dining space perfect for meeting other travelers. Also, the nearby local people are extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. I spent two nights with a local family hanging out with them and they even cooked me dinner without charging me any money. It was such a great experience being there for me. I highly recommend it. It's also a great location for going to chocolate hills.

Amazing little village by the river. A little fair from the main road but made it secluded and quiet.

Nice place if u just want to chill out for a few days. If u travel alone its pretty lonely. Need to get a bike or a driver to get around, because the hostel is far away from the city. Its in the middle of a forest/jungle, so its nice and quiet. Next to a river... Owner was really helpful and friendly.

The place (also known as "Nipa Hut Village" if you are looking on tripadvisor) is situated in the middle of the jungle, approx. 2 kilometers apart from the mainroad. Therefore it is very calm, but probably you are looking exactly for this! The huts are like you imagine them: very basic but clean and with great atmosphere (and surprisingly few mosquitos). The only real negative point for individual travellers is the absence of internet. But if you need information, just ask the friendly staff!
