The positives - good location, clean, helpful staff, nice large rooms. The main thing lacking is that this place has no common area to hang in and meet other travelers, no breakfast area (you eat in your room), etc. Its like staying at a hotel where you have your room and that is it. If you are looking for a place to stay its fine but if you want to meet other travelers, share stories, mingle, etc then this is not the place to be.

Very nice host. A place with a good, relaxed atmosphere. Included breakfasts can become monotonous if you stay for a few days. Reasonable distance from the city's attractions. A 30 minutes walk to the train station.

It was great, the host is what I call a lovely sweet person. He helped us to find our way and bring us delicious breakfast in the room. It's clean and calm. It's also pretty big! I recommend this place for sure !

We loved our spacious room and our host Andrea was very helpful whenever we asked for help. When we decided to extend our stay and this place was fully booked, he contacted a number of B&Bs nearby and found us another (beautiful) room nearby. The location may seem a bit south to access the train station, but it really wasn't too big a deal and it was perfect for exploring the historic centre of Bologna. Two thumbs up!

The room was really large and comfortable, everything (including the shared bathroom) was kept very clean. The host is a welcoming and helpful person, serving breakfast to your room! The location in the old town of Bologna is also very good, but it does take a little while to get from there to the station, especially if you decide to walk :)

Andrea (owner and manager) was great! So accommodating and kind, he really cared and was invested in my welfare. He'll give ya a map with great places for food and gelato, as well as other places to visit. I felt very safe and relaxed here. You absolutely can't beat this place for the price.

Perfect spot for walking into the old town. Andreas is charming and helpful. Rooms are huge. Bathrooms basic but clean. Generous breakfast. Ideal for 1-2 nights.

Secure, quiet, clean and pretty place to rest! Breakfast served to your room and Andrea is a very friendly helpful host. No communal area, this hostel was a tranquil place to relax, and have a great sleep on a good bed in a big room! A change from hostels!

The location of the hostel was ideal for walking the beautiful Bologna streets. The hostel was relaxing and quiet and Andrea and Andrea were extremely helpful with us getting to know the city. They recommended great restaurants and gelato, and even contacted a spa that we were hoping to schedule massages at in order to translate the message machine for us. We will definitely recommend Bologna Old Town to family and friends!

It's in a good spot for having a look at the city centre but not being right in the middle. The guy recommended maybe the best ice cream place we've ever been just round the corner! And a really nice, authentic italian restaurant (no english menu!). They were friendly and the room was very spacious and tidy. Would stay again for sure.

kind of far from the center but still good, clean and reaosnable price

Location is very good, quite and nice part of old town with only short walk to centre of Bologna, but far enough to find alternative options to park car cheaper, without driving into restricted zone. Hostel is very clean, staff very helpful. Not much interaction with guests or staff as breakfast served into your room. The only one thing could be changed - tray with some glasses in the room and maybe cattle to have tea/coffee. But overall - grate! Morning breakfast on balcony - fantastic !!!

Hostel is based in a nice neighbourhood, inside the old town. The building looks very good, oldschool lift and fancy stairs. Hostel occupies one appartment in this building, it has several bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our room was spacious with a balcony from the side of a quite street. We had nice breakfast with a sweet croissant, youghurt, juice and coffee. Everything looked clean and the stuff was kind and helpful. It's a very nice spot to explore Bologna.
