Bologna Old Town Reviews

We enjoyed our stay here, there was just one thing that could be better: the breakfast. It is a big breakfast but it is not a healthy one. You only receive (a huge amount of) cookies, some toasts (but not from real bread), jam, some juice (but not fresh) and a coffee. It would have been nice to have real bread, some cheese and a piece of real fruit.

Great place to stay. Central location, everything in walking distance. Quiet, safe area. Nice, spacious, clean rooms. Good value for money in an expensive accomodation city as Bologna. Staff speaks top English and is helpful in each question, far beyond basic requirements. If a short stopover or a stay for a few days, top location in all fields. Next time in Bologna I will stay there again for sure.

VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF

This was honestly one of the best hostel stays ever in my life! The athmosphere is great, Mario is super nice and even brings breakfast to your room. I very much enjoyed the surroundings and the area around the hostel, it is a very safe and quiet area and only 5 minutes walk from the city center! Very recommendable and I will stay there again when I am in Bologna! :-)

We had an exellent stay at the B&B. the location is superbe. The breakfast is the minimum yogurt, toast, 1 sugar sandwish and choco/jam. The beds are fantastic. Only average point is the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location was perfect and the owners were really nice! I stayed for almost a week, because I had to found an accomodation in Bologna to stay for 5 months. This place was a good place to begin! I would definately recommend this B&B to my family and friends when they are coming to visit me here in Bologna.

The pressure of the water was weak and the temperature fluctuated a lot having a shower. Apart from that, the rooms are very big but they are not so the heaters, so I get cold sometimes during the night and mid day hours. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK, more or less what I expected to be.

It smells very bad, the atmosphere and staff are very unfriendly, it eas hard to find it... Do not recomend

Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered a lot of help and recommendations. Location is a several blocks away from the main area in a more quiet residential district, so a bit of walking is needed. Only complaint is the shared bathrooms which were old and the water pressure was weak. Temperature also fluctuated a lot. Also, since we traveled in winter, the rooms were a rather cold. Besides this we had a wonderful stay.

Old Bologna is just a short walk to the old town. The building has character and the owners are very nice. Definitely happy to stay here again.

Just 5 minutes walk from the centre. Clean and spacious old apartment with high ceilings. The staff is helpful and have good tips to find a place to eat. The breakfast is functional, quite a sugar bomb, but with good italian coffee! Sometimes it was bit cold but I would stay there again and recommend it to couples or group of friends. Not a place to meet new people, if that's what you're at.
