Hostel was cosy and right in the middle of town. Staff could of been friendlier but ohwell. The room was nice and quiet, only 2 other girls in the room with me so it was good because I had a great sleep but not so good if you like to meet people and be social. The bathroom and kitchen were old but all worked fine, which is what I loved about this town, very vintage! There were no locks on the doors either which was fine because the town is so quiet. Also there are no kettles in this hostel..
A cozy, homey atmosphere right in the center of Akoroa's downtown. Things were quiet and slow at the hostel, probably because it's winter (July) which made it perfectly serene. Clean rooms, hot showers and nice kitchen. The staff, a lovely French couple, and an NZ native named Emma made the experience with their friendly, laid-back demeanors. Some businesses offer discounts to Bon Accord visitors.

We arrived during some flooding to find everywhere closed in Akaroa. We were two of three people staying in the hostel. Comfortable lounge area and beds. DVD collection is not what they make it out to be!
